What a wonderful place with fantastic hosts. Sara and Carl who own the Dolffanog Fach B&B are so welcoming. The rooms are spotless and well laid out with everything a traveller may need, whether it be a short stay or a longer visit. With homemade welsh cakes, cookies and a brilliant range of drinks on the tea tray including proper...

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay so much. Your friends who arranged your picnic our regular guests and I know they love it here - I always worry that people will be a bit disappointed when they come on the recommendation of someone else, that maybe we won't live up...

We stayed for two nights and the accommodation was excellent and the personal touch from Carl and Sarah made the trip. Brilliant breakfast would recommend to anyone. It was close to a lot of walks which was ideal for us

Home from home!!! If it was I'd never go away, this was far better than home. Where to start, at the beginning I suppose. The web site, so full of information, the descriptions do not do justice to the place and surroundings, directions on how to find the place spot on. Activities, details of what and where to go, all...

Wow! What an amazing review! Thank you so much. We absolutely loved having you both to stay with us - and we adored your lovely dogs, looking after them was a pleasure. It is so fantastic to read your comments, you have picked up on so many of the little details that we spent a lot of time thinking about....

Stayed here for a week. Wonderful place in beautiful setting. Great welcome on arrival and fantastic hosts during our visit. Immensely enjoyed the breakfasts, packed lunches and two evening meals at the Dolffanog Fach. The room was spotless, comfortable and the hospitality tray refreshed daily. Perfect for a complete "getaway" and an ideal spot to explore the surrounding areas. We...

Dolffanogh fach is an amazing place to stay and you are well looked after by Sara and Carl who work very hard to please their guests, there is a homely feel to the place and it is kept spotlessly clean,we stayed in Carroll which was a beautiful modern room with added touches and a view of the mountain, unfortunately the weather was...

We returned to Dolffanog Fach this year for a second time having enjoyed our stay last year. This time we treated ourselves to what is the room with the best views of countryside and mountains and it was worth every penny. The en-suite was spacious and squeaky clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We found the pillows to be...

Thank you for that wonderful review! We really appreciate you taking the time to write one and we are so pleased you enjoyed your time with us. Just returned from five fantastic nights at Dolffanog Fach with our dog. Perfect location for exploring Snowdonia, the Ceredigion coast and dipping into Anglesey and the north coast. A few miles from the nearest village, along a road without a sidewalk, so a car is necessary to get around. Great walks within a relatively short driving distance. The B&B itself...

What a wonderfull place to stay. So nice to feel just at home and so perfectly. Advantage / disadvantage: no cell receipt due to location in a valley + not fast internet. But that's why your on holiday, right ;-)

It was lovely to see you again, just so sorry the weather wasn't good enough for lots of plane spotting opportunities but at least you saw a few. The lack of phone reception and slow wi-fi - we try and think of it as an advantage. Certainly means you can escape from every day life! Thank you for your review...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sara & Carl would love to welcome you to Dolffanog Fach. Our aim is to provide the warm and friendly welcome of a traditional B&B with the standards and special touches you would expect from a boutique hotel. Unlike most B&Bs we do not "live in", we have a little cottage just next door so you don't need to feel as though you are staying in someone's home. We have 4 lovely double bedrooms, a sitting room with a log fire and a beautiful dining room with a slate floor and wood burning stove. Our dining room is big enough to accommodate individual tables for each guests but small enough to be cosy and allow you to chat to other guests if you wish. We have a large garden that you are welcome to explore with a garden railway which our children will be more than happy to demonstrate! We also have a Finnish Sauna which is just perfect after a long day's hike or cycle in our astonishingly beautiful surroundings. If you are a walker or mountain biker then we can offer you our "Boots & Bikes" Room. Secure storage for your bikes, boots, helmets and clothes and we can also offer laundry facilities. Our breakfasts are designed to really set you up for the day and also offer plenty of variety if you are staying for more than a few days. You could stay for a week and have a different breakfast every day! We really want to offer our guests value for money and put a lot of effort into the little things, the biscuits in the rooms are homemade and freshly baked, the milk is fresh and the coffee is ground and there are lots of other little touches that guests always comment on and say how much they make a difference. Children of any age are more than welcome and stay free if under 12 and sharing their parents room. We also welcome dogs and they are allowed in the rooms and sitting room, we don't permit them in the dining room but you are welcome to leave them in the bedrooms while you eat. We hope you'll come and stay with us, we can promise you a friendly welcome, lovely rooms, delicious food, glorious surroundings and a truly relaxing stay. ... more   less
