Thoroughly enjoyed a warm welcome and light lunch with my mother whilst enjoying the magnifient views of the lake. Nothing is too much trouble for the new owners and their excellent staff. The improvements they've made are already having an impact and I hope to return soon.

Have just spent two nights at this hotel with my partner and two dogs. Stunning location over looking the lake. Beautiful 5* food, comfortable suite and helpful, kind staff. In fact - no fault at all. Would most definately recommend for a break away with some lovely walking and scenery.

Well, my family had arranged a surprise meal for my birthday a couple of days ago. My partner and I had to travel around 240 miles to spend a couple of days with them and unfortunately our journey was hindered by roadworks and a serious accident so rather than the original table time of 8pm it turned into 8:50pm. The... More

The staff were the most helpful and pleasant and courteous. The rooms were large and clean and the food was home cooked and delicious. As I had to leave before breakfast they even made me a packed breakfast to take with me. The views were amazing and although this trip was work I will definitely be bringing my husband back... More

First visit to Wales. Pleasant and peaceful stay. Lovely view of the lake from our room. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was nice. On the minus side, our room was not cleaned on the first day as we decided to leave the hotel room at 11am as it was raining heavily. When the cleaner did come early morning... More

Dined here one Sunday lunchtime soon after it had changed ownership. I was not happy with the experience and rather than write a bad review decided I would revisit a few weeks later. This I subsequently did and what an amazing improvement. The service was quick and polished and the meal was superb, seven vegetables, and all courses presented beautifully.... More
