Situated in one of the most beautiful locations in the world, Tyn y Cornel hotel has a wonderful history and many fond memories for me. Over the past few years I've avoided the hotel, but now under new, very friendly ownership the hotel is once again the jewel in the crown of Mid Wales. It's early days for the new...

We just spent a very enjoyable four nights at Tyncornel Hotel and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent and the dinning room service of a high standard. We shall be returning.

I found this place online and took a punt. I was pleased that I did. Everything about the place was pleasing from the room quality to the enthusiastic and helpful staff. It's a great location in Snowdonia....but don't trust your satnav entirely to find it. Mine wanted me to travel over the lake which is not advisable in a small...

The lounge area had a log burner in the centre and was really cosy on a winter night . Our room over looked the lake...

Having seen reviews since the new owner took over in December 2016 we decided to celebrate a birthday with a 3 night dinner, bed and breakfast break. We received a very warm welcome from Christo on arrival and settled in to our lovely comfortable room in the newer annex. We...

Decided to have a one night getaway on New Year's Day and Tyn y Cornel was perfect! Lovely rooms with very comfortable bed, good food and excellent service. The owners had only taken over the hotel 3 weeks before but proved to be the perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble. We also had 2 dogs with us and they were...

Me, my partner and his mom decided to have a weekend in Snowdonia, have a rest and hike a little bit. We booked this lovely hotel. Unfortunately, on our way to the hotel, our car broke down. We managed to get to the hotel somehow to find out our phones had no signal there. We felt a bit desperate. Not...
