Tynycornel Hotel My boyfriend and I stopped off at the stunning Tynycornel Hotel at the beginning of Summer, and had some food. All of the staff we met were so accommodating and friendly, even though they had not long had new management take over. We arrived a little too early for lunch but we were told to take a seat,...

The bar man and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The family room was spacious and clean with fantastic views. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake. The hotel is in a superb location. Excellent value for money. Dog friendly.

We stayed on our way down to South Wales. The rooms were basic and bit tired but clean with superb lake views. The hotel staff were very friendly and I couldn't fault the breakfast. The main selling point for this hotel is its quiet location (literally on its own in what feels like the middle of nowhere) and the stunning...

My husband and I have been both staying and visiting this hotel in excess of fifteen years. However, the last owners were so unpleasant that we stopped going two years ago. What now makes me so happy is that It has been taken over by new owners who clearly know the trade and how to run a hotel properly. We...

We stopped there for a cup of tea and were thinking of eating there as well. I would love to give this place a higher rating. It is in a beautiful setting, the barman was very friendly and polite, the cup of tea was lovely. However, we first went into the front entrance but couldn't see anyone at the bar...not...

Myself and two family members stayed here for the evening in August 2016. The hotel is on the banks of Lake Tal-y-llyn and the views across the lake are stunning. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous and went out of their way to be accommodating, both with our own experience but we were also aware that a family had...

We approached our stay in T'yn y Cornel Hotel with some trepidation as some TripAdvisor reviews had not been too good! However, we found the hotel to be bright, clean and well kept in a most beautiful setting (even though the weather was not good). We stayed in the barn - a terrace of rooms in a former barn built...

This is a pretty and beautiful place to stop and enjoy the lake. The friendly staff made us welcome. We only stayed for a small lunch but felt like we could have stayed longer. This looks a must for lake fishermen. The bottled Cadr beer was also good. Robert Beale

Sandwich lunch review + update for viewers. I live locally and had been bringing visitors to the Tyn y Cornel for nearly 30 years, until the last owners sadly ran it into the ground. The new owners are part of the family that also own the popular White Lion pub/hotel in Machynlleth, so hopefully will have a bit more business...
