    Rooms clean and well presented . Breakfast wonderful. The local dog walking club were meeting in bar so dogs definitely welcome. Charming garden with open field views. Very quiet especially for us townies. Good size car park to front of pub. Thatchers cider on draught...More

    Very nice place with wonderful hosts. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we had on our last night. Wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. Lovely village too with plenty of walks in the area.

    We had booked cream tea for two in the East Somerset railway so needed a place to stay. We like small country pubs so this was ideal. we arrived after a look and wet drive from Kent, and the weather stayed typically wet for July...More

    So, the decor needs work, it's definitely a village pub, but, the roast was great... it could have done with more veg options, but, for the price you can't knock it. The portion size is great! The staff really friendly and helpful. Would we go...More

    the owners have changed since my last visit but the new ones have kept the standards and are looking to move the bell forward whilst maintaining the country/community pub image,still a great place to stay when visiting the area
