We went for a drink and a meal tonight at the Golden Cup. As it was one of the hottest days of the year we sat in the garden. This is not the normal bog standard pub garden it is brilliant large, lovely plants and bushes, plenty of seats well spaced so you are not seating on top of people....

Tried this place as we often pass by it, will now continue to pass it by. Staff were friendly and accomodating, they need to be as the food is very average. This not a place for the connieseur of good food and fine dining. It is average pub grub, edible but without the refinement. Portions are good but the quality...

Our third stay over new year. Always a warm welcome to a fabulously clean and comfortable establishment. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners Greg and Rachael. This pub is a jewel in a very pretty village, to say it is clean is an understatement! I would say it's immaculate! The breakfast is amazing as is the Sunday lunch....

Went into The Golden Cup 8.30ish Monday 10/08/15 on the off chance of a double room for the missus and myself. Looked a pretty smart pub outside and inside. Asked the barman if he had a double room for the night, he dutifully called the mangeress. She said she had a room and it was £60 with breakfast. Not the...

We were passing and popped in for lunch, delighted we did. Beautiful surroundings, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. The meal was good, and it was waitress service. This establishment is also a hotel and although we weren't staying on this occasion, we certainly would when passing this way again. Top marks *****

It never ceases to amaze me when being turned away from a business or being made to feel like your an inconvenient patron by turning up on the cusp of closing. We were told as soon as we walked through the door that we should order within the next couple of minutes as the kitchen will be closing and also...

Upon arrival the gardens & entrance to the inn were AMAZING! Superbly kept garden - so tidy & a play area for kids (if you have some) I was greeted by a happy chap who swiftly showed me to my room & even carried my bag for me. My room was lovely (as you can see by the pictures I...

Stopped here whilst walking the Way for the Millennium. Had never been to Yoxall before. It seems to be a hub for walkers and proved to be a great stopover. We could take our dog into the bar and the staff were very kind to her, supplying treats and water. We had delicious ham sandwiches and were made very welcome....
