Clean with outstanding service. Nothing was a problem, very refreshing.to find. great four poster bed by the way! The garden is a sun trap with drinks served outside from the bar. Breakfast was great as well. I will definitely return. Parking was easy free till 07.30 am just outside the hotel.

We booked this hotel as on line it appeared to be a friendly boutique style hotel, how wrong. We arrived after a 4 hour journey to a rude, unfriendly welcome, an unidentified unpleasant smell and a cramped chaotic establishment. We were so displeased that we asked if we could cancel the booking without charge. The staff, including the manager said...

We arrived and went to the reception desk it was filthy we wondered what to expect as we have stayed their twice before and rooms were nice room 1 and 3. We was given the key to room 6, £190 for two nights, the toilet was still dirty the room you could not move it was so small and lots...

Called in on a midday afternoon. Very quiet. Bar area was filthy. How on earth they can get away with it I'm not sure. Dirty cups left in hallway. Used the toilets however out of 3 in the ladies, only one was working - and that didn't have a button to flush it, ended up wrapping some toilet tissue around...

Visited many many times, staff are friendly and welcoming, a lovely building and beer garden, good food and cocktails, however the happy hour which actually is 2 hours, from 5 til 7 on a Friday, is absolute chaos, the bar isn't big enough and there doesn't appear to be enough staff to cope with demand, we (2 of us) ordered...

Very friendly welcome. The building is old with loads of character. The bathroom had roll top bath and fantastic stained glass windows. There is a pub downstairs and is on the main street. Lovely full English breakfast. Great little market town. We spent the morning at the Sunday market, with loads of craft stalls and local foods.

Visited this place a few weeks ago for lunch, I find it hard to find good places to eat in leek but I can happily add this place to my list. I had a chicken and chorizo grilled sandwich with chips. The presentation was stunning and tasted great, my mother had the salad and could not compliment it enough. Will...

What an amazing find, the hotel is so bohemian, the mix of old architecture and modernism work amazingly. The staff were so helpful and attentive without being invasive. As many of the other review the only down side was no shower and lack of hot water. We were in a room on first floor back of the building and had...

Burger and drink deal night ten pounds a person. What a fantastic place the building is worth a visit on it's own, steeped in history and wonderfully restored. The restaurant is down in the cellar with the old window lintels still showing, fantastic atmosphere. The staff are lovely, the food is good, the building to die for. A beautiful place...

We stayed for one night and at £95.00 was very overpriced. When we arrived the heating hadn't been on in the room and took an age to come through. The hot water was warm at best. There was only a bath and no shower with just a towel rail to heat what was a large bathroom. There were two sinks...
