Visited this on recommendation of a friend who lives nearby. The room was excellent and well appointed with tv, wifi a good en suite shower. The meal was very well cooked and a varied selection of wines and ales. Staff very friendly and breakfast can be served from 7am so a must for those needing an early start. Would certainly...

Recently visited Ye old dun cow with a friend for a meal. This was our first visit to, what is described as a "Typical Village Inn". First impressions were very good, my friend had reserved a table which was nicely located in a corner of the pub next to a real fire. The staff were very attentive and drinks were...

Visited with friends who had been before. The food was really good, the service was quick and attentive. We did try and book a room for the night but unfortunately they were fully booked. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the evening, i would suggest that you book early.

We have visited the Olde Dun Cow before and had a wonderful meal with friends, so my review is a little late. However, given just what a super evening we had, again, I must share our experience. Firstly, the pub/restaurant is so warm, friendly and welcoming. Everyone, from the waiters and waitresses, bar staff even the chef are great. Pleasant,...

Went there with my mother, wife and son. Found it difficult to choose from menu as so many things sounded tempting. In the end I went for the chicken with Parma ham and mozzarella, my wife went for the beef strips with bacon in a red wine sauce (stroganoff?). The others went for pork belly. All meals were full of...

We went here for lunch this week, after going for Sunday lunch a few months ago. We chose from the set menu, which at £13 for 3 courses, is great value. All 3 courses were perfectly cooked and could not be faulted. This is some of the best food we have had when eating out. The service was great too,...

Evening meal and overnight stay. Service and food were excellent, rooms clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced (shared a twin room). We were met at breakfast time by the staff who were very friendly and provided an excellent full breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
