This is a Victorian building so you expect it to be a little less uniform than the chains. Having said that my room was very comfortable and everything was quite adequate for a 2 day business stay. I wouln't hesitate to use it again if in the area.

We booked this hotel as we were going to a wedding nearby and the happy couple had recommended it. When we arrived it looked a bit run down and shabby and the smell of fried onions coming from the pub next door wasn't great. Despite it being after the 2pm check in time there was no one on reception. We...

The Chase Hotel is lovely building and the staff were exceptional in their greeting and when I was checking out the next morning. The bed was very comfortable, which considering I have a bad back is a major plus for me. As this was a business trip I was thankful for the free wi-fi, which helped me keep up on...

Ladies bathroom was out of order close to function room " which I was told prior would be available for guests so the elderly had to walk across dining room and it being...

Stayed overnight to attend a wedding reception nearby. Room was small but very clean and fresh. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a full english breakfast before we left. A very pleasant stay.

Was woken by lots of noise outside in the early hours from young people in cars with music on. . when left I found my car had been scratched down the side and someone has tried to break into the passenger door.....

We decided to visit the Chase hotel, as the menu looked very good with a wide variety of food. My sister-in-law said they went a couple of years ago, and had to wait over 2 hours for the food. However we decided to try as that might have been a one off. The choice of food was good to very...

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. often going out of their way to provide us with help. The rooms were reasonable in cost and the hotel had a nice bar, beer garden and served good quality food. I would recommend and will be staying here again when I return to England.

Visited the restaurant and it was not good waited along time for food and only 2 people in the bar so took long time to get drinks. The stated was ok at the time but then wears steak and a side order of macroni cheese which came cold. I was later very poorly and can only put this downto the...
