A very pleasant place to stay. We chose the superior room which was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. Good hearty breakfast. The owner, John, was very warm and helpful throughout. A nice touch - when we phoned to confirm our ETA, John asked about our meal arrangements for the evening and booked this for us (at Dog and Hedgehog which...

My wife and I stayed just one night as we were attending a memorial service in Hinckley. The hotel is precisely as described, situated on one corner of a quiet green. John and Wendy are very good, helpful hosts. The double room was spacious and warm, the on suite was as expected whilst the breakfast was excellent! The pub (Dog...

We went to a local Star Trek convention and booked in to arrive in the middle of the night. Not only did we get our confirmation email in Klingon, the room we were given was a big family room and they gave us a free breakfast sandwich each when we left in the morning! Would love to return as Nuneaton...

Run by a nice couple who run it as their own home, complete with their own memorabilia and photos of family. They were very friendly and helpful and flexible. We had a nice loft room in the main building and enjoyed our stay there quite a lot, especially the quietness of the small village is striking as a city dweller...

A lovely hotel although a little bit dated. John, the owner very friendly and the breakfast was great. The room was clean and comfortable and on the whole good value for money. We would stay again if in the area.

My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights and really enjoyed every bit of it, it's a nice and cozy place in a very quite village, the room is spacious and clean, very friendly hosts that made us feel welcome, offering to dry our wet clothes (because of the rain) and looking up things for us. The whole atmosphere...

I would class this hotel as 'oldy worldy', a hotel with character. Our rooms were roomy, comfortable and clean (beds a bit hard, but that suited me). The bar was fairly well stocked although we did not make use of it as we were attending a wedding nearby. The lounges were also comfy. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty with a good...
