I read other reviews here before booking myself in, so I wasn't expecting the Ritz. It wasn't the Ritz. I was looking for somewhere cheap and basic to stay and that's what I got. The Longshoot is a sound, basic motel - a pub surrounded by a two-storey courtyard of individual rooms. The room was clean but well-worn, reasonably quiet...

Me and my partner stayed here and really liked our stay, very painless and the staff were lovely. The bed was more comfortable than our bed at home. Bathroom and towels were clean. It's retro but it's just a comfortable place to stay.

For the price you can't really expect much more. Great value if just stopping off for the night as we were. Room was warm and comfortable, had a TV and a bath. Not spotlessly clean but ok. Pub next door was a real surprise. Great carvery and wide choice a reasonable priced food.

Visited with friends for an evening meal. I should say we have eaten here before and I have yet to have a good experience. The staff are friendly enough and offer a pleasant if off hand welcome. Service is adequate and not too slow by any standard. The restaurant itself is tired and in desperate need of a refurb. The...

Stayed for one night. The bed and pillow were very lumpy and the decor was grimy. Even the kettle was off-colour. Damp bathroom, grotty grouting, cobwebs and very stained bath - didn't use shower as would have felt dirtier afterwards!! Dirty carpet and would not recommend it, glad I didn't have children with me! On plus side, staff friendly and...

I had the misfortune of staying at this dump on business, I saw a guest painting their room, I was so tempted to ask if they had some paint leftover. I am was so dissapointed with my company for booking me into this hell hole that I handed my notice in !!!!

Came on business. Room has peeling ceiling and looks like someone has smoked 40 cigs a day in it. Bath had mastic in where some cowboy had done a shoddy job covering cracks. Bed was lumpy and has no spring. Receptionist was miserable and unhelpful. The car park is situated next to what can only be described as a run...
