Hotel is full of character and set in nice grounds. Rooms are comfortable although too warm for me. Party evening was good although food was disappointing and tables were crammed in.
Disco was ok and bar service good. Breakfast was adequate albeit a buffet so some things were pas

I wouldn’t stay again, poor service on check in, charged instead of pre-authorised, delayed as they hadn’t completed a ‘card’, not sure that should be the guests issue! ‘suite’ needs updating, tv ‘missing’ from bedroom. Phone not working. Light and heating in bathroom not working

How long would it take to walk into town
Hi sorry for the slow response hadn’t noticed the message. Difficult to answer but I should imagine 10 to 20 minutes for a normal healthy adult depending where you would like to be in town , the local outlet park being the closer with some coffee shops and food chains. I chose the car option as leg brace ,crutches and a wheelchair tend to be slow and a tad cumbersome for such excursions. Hope you enjoy your stay we had a great time. Regards keir

Hi, just wondering if this hotel is haunted? I found it in a haunted rooms website...
We didn’t see or hear anything but it adds to the atmosphere.

Are there footpaths around or do we need to drive around the local area?
There isn't much to reach on foot really, a car would be advisable:
