My wife and I were treated to a weekend break at this wonderful hotel as part of her 60th birthday celebrations, and were impressed. The receptionists who checked us in and out,Denise and Helen, were friendly and professional, with ready smiles and warm personalities. In fact, we found that all the staff we encountered were friendly and courteous and nothing seemed too much trouble....top...

I stayed here on business for a night on my own. The staff were all absolutely wonderful. I was given a room up a few flights of narrow stairs and corridors at the top of the building. The room felt quite eerie and as i started to read the hotel information about haunted corridors i felt uneasy! So went into...

Excellent location to experience the beauty of the older manor houses. The rooms were very well appointed for an older establishment. The grounds were impeccably kept and provided a perfect setting for our stay.

Very relaxing short break. Service in the bar was a little erratic. When I asked for a sweet sherry he had to rush off for some help. However, the extra training was given and all s well. This was our fourth 'seasonal break'. Very good value.

Just one annoyance. We couldn't get our room radiator to come on so while we were in the drawing room having dinner we asked at reception to see if someone could please turn it on for when we returned our room. This wasn't carried out however, we didn't feel we should have to ask again and it wasn't freezing! Apart...

Brownsover hall has the opportunity to be far better if it trained it's staff properly on customer service. The staff were pleasant, but blatantly poorly trained. We felt that as there was a wedding at the hotel there was not enough staff to run the day to day operation on reception and in the main restaurant. Outside looked ok but...

Whilst your reception staff were friendly and I accept that one of the team was being trained I think you need to improve the speediness of of check-out. I was second in the queue to check-out. Whilst the person in front of me was checking out your receptionist took a call. It was someone wishing to make a reservation and...

We only stayed for one night so it was fine for this. the down side was that there was no hot water in the evening so not really good for showering etc. Reception said it was because there were a lot of hotel guests.
