Lovely quiet hostel, great location, very friendly staff with great local knowledge. Very clean with nice communal areas. The female dorm could do with some more electrical sockets but that was manageable.

The atmosphere in the YHAs feels to sometimes depend on the staff too much. Dear management please create some atmosphere in this place! It feels like a hospital! At least the staff is very friendly, but that's not always enough..

Many thanks for your comments which we have noted. We are somewhat dependant upon guests to interact with their fellow guests but will do what we can to encourage them to interact with their fellow guests and in so doing create an environment of togetherness. All the best. Les

This was perfect for our family break, we came in the winter (13th,14th and 15th of February 2017.) The room was clean, warm and spacious enough for all our stuff and we spent time in the lounge and dining room (also clean and tidy) if we needed more space to chill out and this is also great as you get...

Slightly unusual youth hostel as it is above a heritage and information centre but the usual warm and comfortable accommodation and an equally warm and friendly welcome from Carol who is a font of knowledge about the locality and also about other nearby youth hostels, including some of their history. The hostel is self-catering only but there is a cafe...

What a lovely and comprehensive write up. Thank you for taking the time to respond to the survey which is sincerely appreciated. I also appreciate your mentioning Carol and the service that she provided as we do not often receive feedback on our staff. Good initiative to follow the anchor sign which will also help other visiting guests in the...

A very well run hostel with excellent facilties in a south coast town with good swimming. A quiet alternative to nearby Brighton and a good first-stop option for foreign visitors flying into Gatwick airport, an hour away by train.

The hostel warden was very helpful and friendly. The youth hostel is in a fantastic location. There is very little free parking but car parking is free overnight but you have to remember to get a parking ticket at 08.00.

Mid summer holidays I decided to take the children away for a night. Booked a family room with bathroom for a bargain price. Was very impressed with the staff on arrival, was given a tour and settled in asking if we needed any local knowledge. Everything as I would expect in our room and bathroom. Fantastic location near to town,...

We used this YHA as a stopover and spend a day in the lovely seaside Town of Littlehampton. For this purpose this hostel is ideally located along the Arun Riverside where we found some nice restaurants (see our other reviews of Littlehampton). The familyroom named Beachy Head is spacious and comfortable and equipped with a en-suite bathroom and shower, also...

The Hostel is situated in the centre of Littlehampton, within easy reach of the shops and beach area. The hostel operates a secure entry system and rooms are all on one level.
