Such a lovely overnight stay! Room was full of character, clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and every member of staff we had contact with was kind and helpful. I really couldn't fault anything. We had a lovely visit and would definitely recommend it to others. I'm looking forward to our next opportunity to stay there...

Well this place was a real surprise. Excellent food, great kids menus (with a superb burger) but above all really lovely staff. They were only young but very efficient and above all friendly and welcoming. I had what was probably the best salad I've eaten out. We will be back. Thank you.

Had Christmas lunch at the Angel with friends this lunch time. All food was of a very high quality. The veg were stunning. Obviously fresh and plenty of them. Would recommend highly the spiced red cabbage. Service exemplary. Make sure you're hungry as there is plenty of it.

We have have eaten here several times since moving to the area. The food is excellent, and the best of all pubs in the area. So nice to have such an interesting choice on the menu which makes choosing difficult! Prices are very fair for the quality. Wine choice good and also fair pricing. Comfortable, welcoming, unpretentious feel with nice...

We popped into the Angel Inn last night, after visiing Petworth Historic Fair;. A rainy night, we were layered up in raincoats, hats, scarves etc, and hadn't booked a table to eat - but we were soon made welcome by Josh, who found us a table without any fuss, and told us that the kitchen was a bit busy, but...

We had a fantastic stay to celebrate our one year anniversary. On arrival we were informed we had been upgraded as there was availability in one of the better rooms so we ended up in one of the lovely four poster rooms. The whole inn is full of character with low sloping roofs, uneven floors and wooden beams. Very cosy...

Spent last night there. Great atmosphere and an enthusiastic manager which made our visit most enjoyable . Breakfast was very substantial and dinner was very good for a pub. There is some parking and importantly the beer was good

We chose to stay here for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a lovely place, a warm welcome, lovely room, lovely people and fabulous food. They have a lovely garden full of quirky animals that peep out of the foliage. The breakfasts both days were great, try the smoked salmon and scrambled egg or smoked haddock and poached...

Stayed overnight with three friends to visit Petworth House and found the Inn comfortable and the staff friendly. Rooms are very quirky. Parts of hotel are 1300s and you have to beware of the low beams and sloping floors! Very well furnished and very clean. Our only negative comment is that the twin room beds were only 2"6 inches but...
