Our stay took place on a cold & windy mountains Winter weekend, and we couldn't have hoped for a more warm & welcoming accommodation than that which we found at the Blackheath Motor Inn! Our room provided the perfect safe haven from the wild weather outside. The room's decor was tasteful & well considered, with the right amount of comforts that made our stay feel like a home away from home! The Motor Inn's highway location is a convenient walking distance to Blackheath's town centre, & a short drive to all of the area's stunning natural attractions. Our hosts Garry & Jane were friendly, approachable & a reminder to us of just how important good hospitality is for a perfect stay, which ours was in every way! Definitely recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a lovely, spacious, warm, very clean and Luxurious room, which opened onto a small garden area through a glass door. The owners Garry and Jane were very friendly and knowledgable about the local attractions. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for them..The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log all night. I definately will not be staying anywhere else on my next visit up the mountains.

I stayed there for 3 nights with the selection choice being based on previous reviews. I was not disappointed. The motel is just a few minutes walk into the town centre and very easy to find, being on the highway. A concern of several people was the road and train noise. Yes they can be a bit off-putting , especially in the early morning hours when the train insists on blowing its whistle but not a big deal. Best strategy is to request a unit not backing onto the main road. The motel is a bit dated but it has everything. The rooms are large, plenty of bench space and power points, bed is very comfortable, a good shower, the air conditioner does its job in the chilly weather and best of all it is very clean. The wi-fi is good, breakfast was simple but adequate enough to get you on the way.. The minor only downside is a large hole in the entry driveway which I am sure will be repaired at some stage. Overall it is very good value. I will stay there next time I am in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the highway, it will help reduce the road noise. If that does not work...

I stayed for 4 nights. The room was comfortable, with everything you could want, including with warm electric blankets, hot showers, microwave, etc. My room backed onto a garden, with chairs and table, which would be good in warmer weather. The motel is a 5-minute stroll to the shops, cafes and bars. Garry and Jane were helpful and friendly and welcoming. It was a good experience so I’ll be back again.

Stayed 2 nights in anticipation of it snowing, which it did. I chose the best place to stay. My room had an opening glass door onto courtyard and garden area. Opened my eyes the next morning to see snow falling outside. Just beautiful. Room is excellent and very welcoming and comfy. Garry and Jane very helpful and lovely couple. I really didnt want to leave. I had a magical stay and hopefully I can return again for more snow watching. The park just down the road was like a magical fairyland covered in snow. An experience I will never forget. So glad that I did it.
