Been staying here a little bit with work. Always clean and comfortable. The owners are very helpful and make staying very easy. The dining room can surprise with some very good meals served up. Drinks at the bar are not excessively expensive. Highly recommended to travelers who dont want to stay in town.

Tucked away just out of Walgett is the Barwon Inn. A hidden gem that provides country hospitality, impressive meals and a bed that is just so comfortable. A place that is well worth the effort of tracking down.

I work in Walgett on a regular basis and the Barwon Inn is my preferred accommodation. All rooms have been renovated in recent years and are quite comfortable. The bush setting is tranquil and the river is a casual stroll away. Evening meals are magnificent.

I used the Barwon Inn for 6 weeks while working in Walgett and found it very comfortable. Even though the rooms weren't self contained I was allowed to use my 2 burner cooker outside the room. The meals from the dining room were a delight and huge making them great value for money. I would certainly recommend the Barwon Inn...

Jenni looked after us and was very flexible with all aspects of the booking. Your choices is Walgett are limited, The Barwon Inn is definitely one of the better places to stay. Everyone was happy with their stay.

Have stayed here many times and always it's been a good experience. The current hosts have updated the rooms and they are pretty well set up, clean and really quiet very efficient air conditioners in the rooms. The bathrooms are a probably in need of the next work in updating but they are ok

We got very lucky to find this place, since we arrived in Walgett after 8pm, when everything sort of shuts down (including the motels). With no internet reception and no desire to continue on to Lightning Ridge for another 75k dodging kangaroos and other critters on the dark roads, we went to the police station. The very helpful and friendly...

Friendly staff and a peaceful, safe place to stay. Meals were fantastic and reasonably priced. Great country hospitality. Only down side was the water in the shower smelt a little as it was bore water, but each room had bottled water to drink. I'd stay here again.

My colleague and I stayed here for business for two weeks. We were pleasantly surprised to find a newly decorated room, furnished with extremely comfortable beds and with a great little kitchen area. Amazing food served at the bistro- try it out!
