Located very close to hiking trails (Charles Darwin, National Pass) and town centre. Structure is old, but all the facilities you need are there. Proprietor was very helpful. Make your own breakfast, with generous provisions.

My husband and I chose to stay one night in Monique on our weekend break. The host Ian was very warm and friendly, we could feel he really wanted to make the guests comfortable and we did feel comfortable during our stay. We stayed in Wentworth room, we loved the room, very homy, loved the yellowish paint and how the... More

Many of my guests write such kind reviews, I'm sure that these contribute greatly to the popularity that Monique's B&B enjoys. It is necessary, however, to clarify a possible misconception that could arise from a line in the most recent of these where the writer mentioned "I didn't like the cats". The cats referred to are actually 2 life-sized ceramic... More

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Blaxland room for three days and two nights between Christmas & New Years. Our only regret? We didn't stay for longer. Ian is a perfect host and Gentleman. The cottage is beautiful and old fashioned, with a log fire and a 'feel at home' vibe. It is across the road from the beginning... More

Great value, fantastic host, bit dated but has charm. Couple of mossies around but not too bad. Full of character!! Separate lounge for guests and an outdoor terrace for breakfast. Very close to Wentworth falls walks. Great choice for a short trip to the blue mountains.

We were visiting a cousin in Wentworth Falls for his 90th birthday and 'came across' Monique's. Although perhaps a little old fashioned, we loved our stay. Everything had been thought of - fridge full of food for brekkie, electric blankets on, fire made up with an offer of 'just let us know if you want it lit before you come... More

My husband and I and 2 old friends stayed here this week and had a wonderful time. The owner Ian (and Wups the dog), was warm, welcoming and gave us excellent breakfast supplies and lots of good advice on the area for walks, eating and galleries. We booked out the whole cottage which gave us individual privacy but a cosy sitting... Ian was the perfect host. The location was stunning, the walks around the area were spectacular. The room was as we expected but was set in beautiful grounds. Our only negative was the bedroom needed a spring clean. Overall pleased.

My husband & I stayed here recently for 2 nights & stayed in the "Wentworth Room" We were the only people staying in the cottage at the time & enjoyed relaxing around the fire after lots of walking through the mountains. I'm not sure that we would have enjoyed it had other people booked out the other 2 rooms unless... More

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here last weekend. Ian had prepared everything we needed for a perfect and hassle-free weekend getaway. A generous (self-cook) breakfast, a wood fire, plenty of books, advice on walks and a lush garden all hit the spot. The cottage is quaint - a bit like staying with Grandma in some respects -... This was our first time and we will definitely come here again. The cottage and amenities were exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable and picturesque. Each rooms has its own bathroom and is well presented. There are lots of books and games and the kitchen is fully equipped. A large fruit platter is offered, and a wide breakfast selection.... More

“This is good for families or groups of friends between five and nine people, as you can book the whole cottage and it feels more private that way.”
