Great service, clean, spacious and neat modern reno in a great location. Free WiFi, cumfy bed, undercover parking across the road. Only potential negative is that there are no lifts. Fine a for us but if you have some physical limitation then best to check with reception before booking.

We stayed two nights in a King suite. It was great. Enormous room and matching bathroom with dual showers. The king bed was Tempur excellent for a solid sleep.Bose Wave sound system as bedside radio was a step up. Continental breakfast was provided each morning. Comprehensive selection of yoghurt and cereals. Service was super. On hearing that one of us...

The rooms are large spacious and all in all great. The beds however are a bit different...they have these memory latex mattresses, which could suit some not the other. The staff are very helpful and polite, and nothing seems too much trouble. Beware of the adjoining restaurant/bistro...this is not part of the hotel. And it is disgusting in every way...

Seriously up market reno of a beautiful Victorian brick mansion/establishment in the centre of Burnie and one street away from the beachfront. The size, decore and fit out of our room were top notch and the staff were terrific and it is ideally located to walk the 3 minutes to Bayviews restaurant on the Esplanade for dinner, The owner met...

We stayed the weekend in Burnie and I had booked the Ikon hotel and I'm so glad I did. From our arrival on Saturday at lunch time to leaving Monday morning it was a lovely stay. The lady that showed us to the room was very helpful and sweet. The room was spacious and spotless. The bathroom was huge! The...

Arriving late we were offered an upgraded room. What a delight. Water views, pleasing decor plus kitchenette and good breakfast supplies on hand, spa bath, fine sheets, latex mattress, astoundingly large decorative mirror. What's not to love. Takes Burnie accommodation to a new level.

The room we had was very large and comfortable. The service from reception staff was excellent. You use the phone at the bottom of the stairs inside the restaurant area and the reception staff come down to welcome you and then take you to your room and explain the room and Continental breakfast provided. The room and bathroom has modern...

The Ikon has evidently been the old town pub with cheap small upstairs rooms, but is now modernised, with the downstairs being a restaurant and the upstairs being "luxury" accommodation. Each room now is a few of the old rooms made into one. Reception is only staffed 2pm-7pm Mon-Fri so you'll need to call ahead if arriving outside those times...

What a pleasant surprise The Ikon Hotel is. Fully renovated with taste and an eye for the unique. The Ex Mayor of Burnie has done a marvelous job in making this old Victorian manor superbly comfortable, impeccably clean, affordable, memorable and enjoyable. His own personal assistance adds to the experience. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are excessively large with...

We arrived at the Ikon and were concerned when we parked in a bottle shop carpark but it all changed when we were met and taken to our spacious 2 room accomadation with a kitchnette. It is located in the middle of Burnie and is a short walk to evrything. They have arrangements with a number of close restaurants where...
