I stayed here on a recent business trip and found the hotel though trip advisor. The rooms were quite good having probably been through a refurb in the past few years. The port side rooms were quite, with a comfy bed and nice pillows. The downside is the gambling - keno tickets in your room, gaming downstairs etc. Staff were... More

Stayed at this hotel numerous times. The staff are always friendly. Good pub style meals. Rooms are clean and quiet - now that the new lift has been installed! The wifi logging you out every hour is a little annoying.

We were very happy with our room and the facilities available. The warm sun coming in from the window made the room even cosier. The staff were all wonderful and made us both feel welcome. We had our meal there in the evening, both meals were great, my parmigiana was huge. The waitress on was extremely friendly and helpful. The... More

I stayed there for 3 weeks and the staff where very helpful and room where always in neat order. Unfortunately at the time I was there the elevator was getting upgraded so the stairs was the only acess to my room but to compensate for that they did have a person to carry bags up and down.

Visited in July, the room was comfortable and convenient. The only issue was the lift was broken and we had to carry out bags up stairs. They did have someone on hand to carry them but we were fine. Room was heated and we enjoyed our stay. We ended up changing our itinerary and spending a couple of extra nights... More

Stayed at the hotel several years ago, and thank goodness the rooms have been upgraded to a decent standard. On checking in I was allocated a room on the street side, bur after experiencing loud traffic previously, I requested a room on the port side. The receptionist did find another room ans was very helpful. Only found out the lift... More

We walked in off the street to get a room after getting stuck in Tasmania during the recent flooding. We had no problem getting a family room with a double bed, table and chairs in the main room and a separate bedroom. It was a good size but the carpet definitely needed cleaned and although advertised as 'recently renovated' the... More

We were offered a special on a king room, and after the two [VERY close] night clubs started in the evening, we realised why the cheap rate.
