My partner and I stayed here Jan 2 and it was just perfect. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quaint. The wonderful building has a cute bookstore downstairs worth exploring for any hidden treasures. It is all set next to the gorgeous Red Bridge with fabulous tree sculptures and lots of history around...

Thanks for taking the time to pass on your views after your recent visit. Foxhunters Return is made up of some beautiful buildings - the first dating back to the early 1830s and they do have a very raw and authentic beauty which has been retained. It is a delight when our guests enjoy the atmosphere of the property as...

A recent family touring holiday around Tasmania saw us driving from Hobart to Launceston and Campbell Town was a great place to stop for a couple of days. Very historic area with lots of interesting convict and early settler stories as well as a surprisingly good range of food options around town. The Foxhunters Return is one of the show...

The room, complimented by a theatrical breakfast , a historical tour and a great bookshop was a inspiring insight to the comforts and traditions of the previous unknown and historical travellers who stayed, and enjoyed the solid amenity of this fine example of a colonial coach inn

Recently stayed here after growing up in this little town and always being intrigued by the Foxhunters Return. Was not disappointed. Had a most delightful stay and Michael the host does the best croissants ever for breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had a wonderful night at the Foxhunters Return on our 40 years anniversary holiday. The room we stayed in was very spacious and made you think of all the people who had travelled and stayed here. You have privacy and a lovely fire in the wood heater makes it even more homely. The town is beautiful with all the...

We stayed here at a last minute decision and we are glad we did. The place is full of history and character and we had a wonderful time. The room is spacious and full of luxury and even tho it is on the main road, we could barely hear this at night. We were given a tour of the place...

Thanks for your comments about your recent stay. It's pleasing that last minute visitors can enjoy the Foxhunters experience just as much as travellers who've planned a visit months ahead. Look forward to welcoming you back sometime.

Fox hunters return was an excellent choice for our overnight stay. We had 2 rooms between a party of 4 - the old kitchen and room 4. The old kitchen had a fireplace which was stacked ready for lighting, Queen bed, sitting area with 2 chairs, and a good size ensuite bathroom. Room 4 had a front and back entrance...

Foxhunters Return is indeed a wonderful place and it's great to hear it was an excellent choice for your family group. We do try and offer more than just a comfortable bed for the night and we enjoy showing off the property in our after breakfast tours and assisting our visitors from interstate and overseas enjoy their time in Tassie.

I stayed in the Cook's Quarters and found it to be clean and comfortable. The room was warm enough which is saying a lot as it was winter and I really feel the cold. Staff were friendly and I loved the breakfast and tour.
