Spent a weekend with friends at Lake St Clair Lodge. Check in was from 3pm. We arrived at 3:30, only to be met with a 'back in 30 minutes' sign. We didn't know if we were at the start or near the end of the proposed 30 minute wait. 40 minutes later, we were checking in. Buffet Breakfast was provided...

I found the accommodation prices way too high for what you get, we had a backpacker room at the price of most good motels in other locations. The plus was that there is a good camp kitchen. I didn't enjoy the shorter walks in the area as much as most other walks I have done in Tasmania.

As a group we had four lodges here. All were clean and well equiped. The stay was extremely peaceful and relaxing, enjoyed by all. Breakfast has to be carried in - nothing is available for purchase but the BBQ facilities were fine for a great breakfast.

We stayed at Lake St Clair lodge in one of the cabins overlooking the lake. It was quite pricey, but the room was lovely and luxurious. The bed was enormous and the drinks in the minibar were free. We ate in the restaurant that night and the food was good, quite pricey but we are in the middle of nowhere!...

There is a huge car park for public and guest to be. The reception building which hold the Information centre and restaurant( which is the reception all in one) is welcoming. Guest could drive thru the barrier( password given by receiption) to the lodge. As our lodge is next to lake st clair it's quite deep in but was very...

We stayed in one of the Wilderness Guestrooms for 2 nights. Yes, it was expensive but the cabin was clean and comfortable. It was on the lake and very quiet and peaceful. After a big day walking, it was great to be able to go to our cabin and not have to drive somewhere else. Breakfast was included and was...

Stayed after doing the overland and thought the room was great but just a tad on the expensive side. Difficult to rate the bathroom as is was my first shower in 7 days so was always going to be glorious! Location is very good, just a few meters from the lake to the rooms. Rooms spotlessly clean until I stepped...

After walking the Overland Track from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair, a night in a beautiful lakeside cabin was an absolute delight. The staff could not do enough for us and everyone was lovely. We arrived wet, cold and dirty and were allowed immediate access to our cabin, four hours earlier than check in time. Imagine how thrilled we...

Three of us stayed on an unpowered site ($36 or 37 a night) for 2 nights then another night a day or two later. Good campsite, hot showers ($1 for 6 minutes, all you need), laundry, covered BBQ and eating area, all fine. I noticed one reviewer complained that the ground was uneven. What!? It's a national park not a...

Lake St Clair Lodge is in the middle of nowhere, with no mobile coverage or wifi. Great if you want to unplug, no so great if you didn't know. Book Studio cabin, it was clean, neat but not what I booked. I requested two singles and instead ended up with a King, I had confirmed when booking in that the...
