We stayed here for three nights. The gardener’s cottage is isolated, away from the main homestead, and is very quiet and secluded. It has excellent views across the river valley and mountains. Birds are everywhere in the surrounding trees and shrubs and their constant singing is really lovely. We had full access to the gardens around the beautiful main homestead....

Stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to launceston and it was such a new experience for me and my boyfriend as we have never lived in a farm before. We stayed at the Gardener which was a historic house. The house was so spacious with a large kitchen and dining room and it had full set of utensils...

We recently stayed here for one night only before our flight out of Launceston and instantly wish we had stayed longer. The cottage was quirky and had all the comforts. The breakfast items were included and were absolutely delicious. The surrounding farmland was just stunning. The kids loved the animals and the historic buildings were beautiful. If you are looking...

We were unsure what to expect on this adventure having read a negative review on the Coachmans Cottage at Brickendon. Luckily we ignored it. The Cottage was incredible!!! The gardens also impressed us. Magnificent century old oaks shading well tendered gardens. We were truly taken back to our grandparents day. Being grandparents ourselves that was an age ago but we...

We stayed in the Coachman Cottage. Wonderful, cosy, beautifully presented old world charm. Louise Archer was kind, caring & most helpful on our arrival in the cold & dark. She set & lit a fire in the charming front parlour & made us feel most welcome. She answered all our questions on the family history of the Archers at both...

We spent one night in the Gardeners cottage and wished it had been more! The cottage is located at the end of a laneway at the far edge of the main house. It is in a lovely secluded spot all on its own surrounded by a cute cottage garden. We arrived in the afternoon to a fire lit in the...

We stayed two nights in June and were delighted to have the village to ourselves. We stayed in the Old Farm Cottage and were very comfortable relaxing by the fire, exploring the village and chatting in the reception. What a special place to stay. We would happily return at any time of year, but don't be put off by the...

Thank you so much for your great review. You are right about Winter being a lovely time to travel, less visitors, invigorating days and great to enjoy the open fires at night.

Really enjoyed a visit to Brickendon and exploring the Historic Village. The buildings are fantastic, and it's easy to get a feel of how it must have been when it was a busy village back in colonial days. Loved seeing ducks, and chooks, just roaming around.

Thank you for your review of Brickendon and you have highlighted one of the features that makes Brickendon different. The farm animals bring the historic Farm Village to life ! and the convict buildings truely reflect their history of more than 190 years. Thankyou. !

Stayed at the Gardener's Cottage and enjoyed the privacy, and surrounding views and environment. Away from urban life and away from the reality, you'll just get soaked into the quiet atmosphere in the cottage and in the estate area. Get in touch with the farm animals too. It's just fun! Wonderful place you must visit should you choose a farm...

Spent a night in Pumpkin cottage. One of a number of cottages on Brickendon Estate. Beautiful quiet farm stay, many sheep ducks chooks cows and a very hard working Louise. Cottage has double and single bedroom lounge well equiped kitchen with all that is needed for continental breakfast and lovely rear verandah overlooking the broad farming paddocks.
