Woolmers provides an excellent opportunity for families to experience a very interesting place. We stayed in the historic Coachmans Cottage, which provides 3 ample bedrooms and all the necessary facilities for a warm and comfortable stay. The well-conducted tour of this outstanding facility was greatly enjoyed by our 8 and 9 year old grandchildren and gave them a real sense...

It is wonderful to hear your family enjoyed your stay in "Coachmans" cottage. It is great for the children to experience heritage accommodation and learn about the past and view the convict built out-buildings. We look forward to your return visit. Kind regards Woolmers Reception

We thought we were very luck in that we arrived as a tour was starting. We paid our $20.00 each (we think was for entering the entire property and not for the tour) and joined the tour party. The lady conducting the tour was very nice but she provided way too much information. The other couple in the tour looked...

Beautiful grounds and interesting peep into the past. Looked through the rooms which were steeped in history, still furnished and decorated with original decor. Wonderful outlook over acres of land once belonging to the estate. Great little gift shop. A stroll through the gated rose garden is a must.

We didn't stay in any of the accommodation, but just visited the property, did a tour of the house and later had lunch in the cafe. It was amazing to be shown the original house and then the adjoining house that was built "later" in the 1840s! Because the property stayed in the same family over many generations, there are...

We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage. Fly screens missing so mozzies and flies a problem. Locks on windows missing. Maintenance on large cracks not done. Cleaner had left their equipment in the middle of the kitchen. Our room was right next to a large building site that wasn't mentioned when we booked. Rose garden severely drought affected and neglected with...

We booked for 1 night but as soon as we saw our cottage, we booked a 2nd night. The cottage is deligghtful, comfortable and has everything we needed, including a full kitchen. Would be wonderful in winter with a roaring fire. The tour of the main house is a must do. It is terribly interesting. Friendly helpful staff. Glad we...

We stayed 4 nights in Gardeners Cottage at Woolmers Estate. Remember this is a building built in the 1840's so it is not in pristine condition. Everything you need is supplied. This cottage did not have laundry facilities when we stayed. Gardeners cottage is located furthest away from the main building and has country views. As a guest you are...

So do not expect Sheraton glitzy decor or Diwnton Abbey aristocratic styled rooms. Accomodations are in re-converted workers cottage, which had a pretty rough life in the good Old days, judging from a neighbouring one leftv untouched. Ours, set with the others in the magnificent secular compound, had been redecorated in a simple, comfortable, way. Downstairs has been enlarged with...

A beautifully laid out estate that was last lived in 19 years ago and appears to be struggling for maintenance funding. We were charged $26 to walk around the estate ($37) for a guided tour that included seeing inside the house. The gardens were in a state of disrepair in our view and we were told after paying the money...
