A group of four couples we visited Russell Falls in late February. We used 3 of the cabins that have a lovely, peaceful outlook down to the river. The cabins are not luxurious but are clean, tidy and well equipped. The environment is the big attraction here. The national park with lots of walking options and an easy walk to view the falls. Lisa at the...

We were in the cottage nearest to the river which was a fantastic location. The road leads straight into the National Park, so a good base for exploring the park. It's self catering with tea and coffee provided and washing/drying facilities, but otherwise basic. We arrived on a sunny warm day in November, but it soon cooled off in the...

Apart from the campground you can't stay any closer to Mt. Field National Park. 20s walk across and you're there. So the perfect spot to explore the park. There are 4 cottages all with their own deck overlooking the river or lawn. They're well equipped inside with all you need to stay some nights. Sufficient, not luxurious, not basic either,...

We had the unit closest to the river and we could here the running water day and night and from the back deck, we could watch the flowing water must metres away. The unit was clean and well presented, but lacked furniture in the bedroom (no mirror/dresser, no drawers, little shelf space. Kitchen was fine. Laundry was well appointed. The...

Recently stayed two nights at Russell Falls Holiday Cottages in the cottage nearest the river, what a superb location. The cottage was very comfortable with kitchen, dining, lounge area, large bedroom, laundry with washer and dryer and a lovely covered deck out the back overlooking the river. The only complaint I had was the small shower, not good if you...

Great location but I wouldn't stay here again. Really disappointed when we arrived to this remote location as there was no milk provided for a cup of tea. Then as it got dark we pulled the curtains closed only to find none of them quite covered the windows. Despite a fully functional heater and electric blankets, we were either cold...

Management response:

Hello Kaput, Thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your stay. We have made notes of guests reviews and have since fixed the problems with the curtains, which now close fully. There are some lovely Wattle trees planted along the Salmon Farm fence to screen it, but will take a few...

We stayed here for 3 nights in January. The accommodation was really nice in a beautiful location. We stayed in Number 1, I think it was overlooking the river. It was great and quite warm while we there, and we all splashed in the river to cool down and relax and it was quite magnificent. We would highly recommend this...

A great place to stay near Mt Field National Park. A friendly welcome and cabin was quiet and clean. Nice little river that ran beside the cabins which the kids entertained themselves in. Walking distance to Russell Falls which is a designation to be missed in Tassie. A wonderful place to stay.

I just spent my second stay at Russell Falls Cottages and had another excellent experience. Received a warm friendly welcome on my arrival and my cottage was ready and waiting. It has everything I could ask for and only a few meters from the beautiful Tyenna river in Mount Field National Park. 2 minutes walk to the visitor centre. Sitting...
