Oatlands Lodge is in an excellent location and it was very easy to find. I had to make several calls and knock and several doors (pancake place down the street) before I could find someone to let me in. I had a reservation, but I was the only person staying. Luckily another couple showed up looking for accommodation and they...

what a place, just so great, they couldn't do enough for us, even stayed an extra night, breakfast was a feast, even took pictures of the table setting to show our children, the place was like we had stepped into the late 1800's or early 1900's but with all the present day comforts

Like staying in an antique shop. Very comfortable. First night open after winter close - had whole place to ourselves. Danny was a wonderful host and the breakfast was delicious and HUGE!! :) Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home, Danny made us welcome, noticed we drank soy milk and had it on hand for us and after reading the good reviews on his breakfasts we were keen to try breakfast. He did not disappoint...we had a lovely hot breakfast of generous proportions. The only downside for us is that it was...

We stayed at Oatlands Lodge with friends during a trip from Hobart to Launceston. This is a classic Georgian building in stone. It was warm and comfortable. There is an eclectic collection of antique furntiture, art, crystal and bibs and bobs. Danny welcomed us and the following morning cooked a ful English style breakfast with poached eggs, saausage, bacon, baked...

My wife and I spent a week at the lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. This very nice heritage facility makes an excellent base from which to tour Tasmania. Danny is a gracious and knowledgeable host. The freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding! We can't wait to come back. Be sure to stop at Danny and Gerard's Pancake and Crepe...

The house is full of character , great breakfast, Danny is a great host. Nothing is a problem. If you are in Oatlands you have to stay there. The town is great to walk around with history everywhere . The local mill is worth a visit as is the tourist centre.

A lovely upstairs room in this charming B & B. All rooms and common areas are decorated in antique furniture. Agree with others that there was very limited choice for dinner, that is, pub across the road is, at best O.K. Unfortunately the old T.V. and 3 remotes was beyond us. There were no written instructions. The newer T.V. in the...

I endorse what other reviewers say, this place is a real find. A lovely place to stay, full of beautiful things. Danny is a most interesting host, and cooks a mean breakfast, you won't better it. Had dinner at the pub across the road, it was nothing to write home about.
