The motor inn is due to be knocked down and replaced by fancy expensive accommodation in the next few year. So it is basic and not the most up to date but the location is good.
Can't comment on bistro as ate elsewhere.
The inn is fantastically located n we could see the historic site from our room back side, it’s a no frill, rustic n debilitating inn, which definitely needs some face lift n better parking space, the bathroom is quite small, but all said and done...More

The Port Arthur Motor Inn is based in the 1960s and nothing much has changed. The rooms are basic but clean, meals are pub-style and the place has the hallmark of a family run venture.

The Motor Inn is in such a fantastic location being right on the Port Arthur Historic Site. That fact is likely the only thing keeping the inn going. So it is immensely disappointing to see the property so run down and service/quality be lacking.
