Stayed in a room with shared facilities. Included a shared kitchen and TV room, with breakfast provisions provided. Access from the kitchen room to a balcony overlooking the main street. Very clean and good for a restful overnight. Recommend staying here.

Stayed only one night in Ross. There is virtually only one place open at night but that doesn't mean the quality suffers. We had the roast pork and it was fantastic. The service was a bit slow but the restaurant was crowded and to be expected. Very friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

A great country hotel with tasty home cooked meals. Meat was tender and fell off the bone. Staff friendly and service prompt. Not many places to go for dinner in such a small town but I would recommend this one.

VERY DISAPPOINTED Do not go here . What a disaster . No local wines, all cheap stuff from BWS. Food was over priced and terrible . Staff were not friendly especially the publican and his wife . Very rude and did not care wether we were happy or not. Bad attitudes and we believe they were stoned . Could smell...

Roast of the day looked like it was a week old! and not hot. Go up the road for a pie rather than risk this place to eat. Very sad indeed. Such a nice little village to visit, we thought lunch here would be a good choice.

A group of 5 decided to book into the hotel for dinner as the weather was to bad to cook at our camp site. The owners mother took our booking and confirmed with the bar maid. Upon our arrival we were informed that they weren't serving food as the chef wasn't available. That was it, no other offers, no bar...

Stayed here before, and i's a very nice and well maintained old pub from the 1830's. Staff are hard working and go to considerable effort to make your visit and stay, pleasant. With lots of open fires in winter, it's worth a visit just to see the hotel. There's nothing like it on the mainland of Australia.

Called in here for lunch on Sunday we were a bit over the finish time for service , they did not have an issue accomodating us for the meal. Have to say that it has to be one of the best meals we have had for long time Owners are only new and look to be doing a great job...

My Wife and I stopped for lunch, on a day trip, as part of our regular pilgrimage, back to our Home state, and my Home town, where I grew up. We had an excellent meal!, the staff were friendly, and professional, the open fire in the Main Bar was roaring, as was the wood heater, in the dining room. We...

We stayed here for one night on our way back to Launceston. The hotel is very old and has lots of interesting features. Ross is one of Tasmania's historic towns. The staff were friendly but new owners were still finding their way! The meal was good pub quality and the wine list very adequate. Our room was comfortable, clean and...
