A really nice and enjoyable stay on a rainy night. I didn't see what others complained about - check in was easy, the staff very friendly and the room very comfortable, including the mattress and pillows. We were in room 34, maybe that is a recently renovated wing? Nothing bad to say about the hotel (the restaurant is a different... More

We stayed here one night, loved it , very relaxing, rooms were beautiful, furniture was in old style, felt very plush. Had afternoon drinks in bar/restaurant area then dinner, food was beautiful desert best I have had in Tasmania, staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay when we return to Tasmania.

I selected Tidal Waters Resort, St. Helens, because I wanted to be able to do a presentation from their conference room. When we arrived, we found the place to be really special. The local environment was perfect for us, for looking around, walking and just making friends. We found our room to be spacious enough, and quite comfortable. The TV... More

Stayed at this hotel on our holiday around Tasmania. The hotel has an odd feel about it. Huge open spaces in reception, areas between rooms, feels like a massive hotel but has only 60 rooms in it. The room itself was huge and pretty comfortable but outdated. The furnishings look quite out of date, including the bathroom which for some... More

I have to agree with a lot of the other reviewers. It could be made good easily with a new mattress. This was the worst bed by far on our trip around Tassie. If they really wanted to lift the standard they could also re-line the walls. I would hate to be there when it was busy or with children.... More

Set overlooking the water, this is a beautiful place to stay. Large dining area, delicious meals. Rooms very roomy and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would have stayed longer only we had to return home. Could definitely recommend a stay.

Friends booked this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. The setting is fabulous with lovely views of the bay and St Helens. Comfortable, large rooms all on one floor. Of course this does mean a bit of a walk to reception and the dining area. Meals were great and reasonably priced. Bar fridge was empty for the use of guests... More

If you read all of the reviews here on TA you could get confused but I would suggest that most of the negatives are correct. Poor quality bathrooms and thin walls can't really be fixed however if they replaced our saggy old bed with a new comfortable one it would go a long way to making it bearable. We visited... More

I booked over the phone, asked for an upstairs room - something a bit more private, we got there to find our room on ground level right in the middle??? Room was ok but the long grass/weeds out the back were very ugly compared to the lovely front gardens. Also would help to have resort/town maps in the rooms!
