Food is terrible, 20 years of eating here has come to an end. Under cooked, rushed, meal quality is really bad. For a parmi, expect a 1cm thick processed piece of rubbish with some tinned tomatoes and cheese on top. Last trip i purchased scotch fillet, which was tougher than a tyre and the vegetables were rock hard.

We were looking for somewhere for a meal as travelling. We'd never been here before and saw the sign for $19 Pub Classic meal which entailed your choice of an entree and main or main and a dessert. Meals were of a decent size and there were several main meals to choose from. Alcohol was very well priced also.

We have had quite a few lunch meals at Furners. At time of writing the light lunch menu was $10, and the servings more than adequate. A fast food meal would be as much, or more. Staff have always been friendly. Many Tasmanian Hotels are old but that is what attracts so many tourists to the island as it has...

Just had dinner here. Had no pre conceived ideas about the place. But was a bit grumpy because our 'usual' venue had called to say they had a problem with the gas and couldn't provide meals. However, Furners was so good it will be our 'usual' from now on! Absolutely delish!

Had to book here at the last minute...thats another story. However what would you expect for 80 dollars per night? Old, decrepit and in need of major renovation, the place is a million years old and it shows. Could not sleep with the noise of the street and lighting, also the bed was in need of tipping out and replacing. The...

I am a chef and work in management within the hospitality industry and have never been so discussed in a restaurants (pubs) service!! The lady behind the register was outright rude and sour, we had a table of 11, 2 of witch were kids, my entire table had eaten there entrees and mains were being delivered before anyone cared to...

My son and daughter-in-law took me to Furner's for dinner on my birthday. Being a Monday night it was fairly quiet. It was my first time there and I found it cosy, with friendly staff and well priced. I had a pumpkin, pea and chilli tart with mashed sweet potato and fresh asparagus. It was a very generous serving and...

The food was really good ! We loved it ! I had the vegetarian tower and it was very nice . My partner had grilled chicken with prawns and he loved it ! the dining area is pretty normal for a hotel. Deserts were also very good :) We left full and happy :)

The staff need a real salute... work well under pressure. The lunch menu is worth a mention especially the steak sandwich . .(visited on a different day.) This is pub grub not fancy but tasty and we'll...
