Not a bad spot, a little run down but clean and tidy a lovely old building with a very friendly host not sure whether to recommend but if you do stay here you won't be too disappointed Reasonably priced for what it's worth

Westella may have been lovely in its hey day, but there is little to recommend it now. It is a way out of town and overlooks the highway, so the rooms are noisy and on the west side hot with the afternoon sun heating the windows that cannot be open (no air conditioning). The paint is peeling off walls and...

We only had one night stay in Ulverstone and had previously stayed in another heritage house in Hobart. For some reason, there is this very old house smell as you enter the place and I'm not sure if they could masked it. We arrived at the place at 1830 and left at 1000am next morning. Don't think I could spend...

Beautiful décor and historic house. The street appeal is less than flattering and the garden could do with a good clean up/mowing. The host was pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast, whilst nice, offered one, sausage, one egg, one piece of bacon etc. (if that is what you wanted.) I am more accustomed to being able to order more than one piece...

An elaborately furnished historic house with a lot a charm. The antique decor and furniture added to the ambience. The bed and towels were of high quality and the full breakfast was fantastic. The host Mike was friendly and accommodating - a wonderful getaway for my wife and I.

Garden overgrown and needed attention greeted us, our room had dirty carpets, and overall I know its an old home, but room needed some attention. The breakfast was average, minimal butter and jam on table, had to ask for more, and dishes collected and we were nearly finished no offer of any more? Been to a lot of B&Bs in...

Spent a night at Westella. A very comfortable stay with host Mike who found nothing too much bother. Our bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious . We would recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay overnight in Ulverstone.

Nice little B&B in the outskirts of Ulverstone (& Devonport) Room was good, with a nice comfy bed. a very small bathroom, but it works and a small toilet. 3 rooms, and a common room upstairs. Breakfast served downstairs in the main living room in the morning. Have had better breakfast, but we survived. Easy check in and check out....

Ours was only a one night stay after arriving on the Spirit of Tasmania before heading on to Stanley. We were made very welcome and our accommodation was very comfortable and clean, cooked breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The house is a treasure but will benefit from the plans that Mike has in store which will put his other skills...

A grand old home with a great history which our host was happy to pass on by way of photo albums and by very welcomed story telling. Great gardens and pleasant surrounds. The bird life early in the morning is prolific. Mike is very helpful with local info about restaurants and markets. The house is not in pristine condition due...

“only 3 rooms, one with a "view", but the view is to a high way. the other 2 rooms face towards the back.”

“all rooms are upstairs so not suited to people with poor mobility. They are all fantastically decorated with antique furniture. Two rooms have their own small ensuite with toilet and shower and the other has its own private bathroom across the hall. The house also has a guest lounge at the end of the hall and a nice dining room down stairs.”
