We stayed in Linden Cottage, very comfortable and private, with attention to detail throughout. Breakfasts are an experience, a great range of good quality breakfast ingredients, shared with the other guests and Dianna and Gil. Trips were planned for the day and information about the area exchanged at breakfast, with Gil & Dianna a great source of information about walks,...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this B&B for some R&R and to explore this delightful region of Tasmania. Our hosts Diana and Gil were exceptional: informative, generous with their time and knowledge and full of helpful and individualised hints for each and every one of their guests. Elm Wood is fascinating - a "labour of love" not...

The pictures on the website did not disappoint, nor prepare me for the picturesque setting of this purpose built b&b. After being shown the three room options (including a delightful self-contained cottage) I opted for the "luxury spa suite", where every detail, from port and chocolates to extra large bath sheets and plenty of heating made my stay extremely comfortable....

Diana and Gil are gracious and welcoming hosts; we loved our engaging conversation with them over breakfast...it was like catching up with "old friends"! We stayed in Linden Cottage (self catering) traditionally furnished with an extremely comfortable king size bed. Elm Wood is eco-friendly, set on 1.5 acres, and has its own common green in the historic town of Westbury!

I went on holiday with my partner. We loved it there and want to let people know just to share the experience. It was the first time we stayed in B&B, very impressed. Thanks!

cidah, Owner at Elm Wood, responded to this review

When guests arrive we tell them that our usual time for breakfast is from 8.30am - 9.30am. Guests are normally very happy to come to the breakfast table between these hours since most are on holiday and needing to 'wind down'. When guests require an early departure (eg, to catch an early flight or attend a meeting) we have always...

so so beautifull, you feel like your coming home to a long lost family. I felt so welcome, and they had the wood-fire going in my cottage for when I arrived. Was beautifull with all the autumn leaves, the little pet dog Adi. I will certainly go back,it was just so sweet!

One of the best B&B I have stayed in. Not only the setting is lovely. The owners are friendly, informative and let us feel we were sharing their beautiful life experience and their treasues. The first impression was the lovely Elm Wood surrounded by beautiful old trees then the house itself was stunning decorated. The whole place reflects the thoughtfulness...

“The property has a SUBSTANTIALLY stocked mini bar with approx. $270 worth of alchol! . It may be wise to request that it be emptied before your arrival to avoid any angst should the contents not match the list. ( Speaking from experience).”
