I stayed at the Mansion en route the Avalon Airshow. What a great surprise! It has great old world charm with modern upgraded rooms and excellent service. Walking in the grounds is very therapeutic, especially the Rose Garden. There must have been at least 20 volunteers working in the gardens the morning I was there - lovingly caring for a...

The Classic rooms sold as LUXURY are NOT! They are small rooms with a fair step up to a small shower, basin and toilet and they place your towels over the toilet??? The gowns were very nice. They NEED to notify coming guests that to use the Spa facilities you need to book at least two weeks in advance (we...

My fiance and I choosed the Mansion for our wedding day and we could not be happier to have such a dedicated and lovely team on top of a marvelous place, garden, pavilion and hotel. Everybody loved the place, from breakfast to dinner as well as the spa and the comfort of the room. Dear Gregory, Sharon, Dee, Brittany, Thank...

Beautiful mansion and grounds - poor service, rooms and food quality. We stayed as part of a wine, dine and accommodation package for a night. We had to remind staff every step of the way what was included in the package (showing that marketing isn't talking to operations). We were supposed to have a complimentary bottle of wine in our...

We were delighted to be staying in a hotel with a long history. The original house, owned by the Chirnsides, is on the property and guests have free entry. Later the hotel became a seminary which explains the small rooms which have been very cleverly restored. The hotel is set in magnificent gardens with glasshouses, a sculpture walk, a vinery,...

What an amazing place to visit. So beautiful and so much history and beautiful gardens. I remember visiting when I was a kid, but never valued it for what it actually is. Definitely on the to do list when visiting the area.

Who would have thought that such a tremendous asset could be managed in such a slipshod and careless manner, with so little actual thought being given to, well, the customer. In short order, my complaints about this venue over 2 nights and days - I was at a conference - are these: (1) Poor signage for night travel. Nothing is...

Nice hotel, rooms are a little small and it is very expensive but if you have a 50% off coupon it is worth it. the beds are soft and the ground are very pretty. the winery on the grounds is very nice too.

The location, surrounding and building is beautiful. The rooms though need an update. The toilet is ok but not more. Light evening dinner took 2 hours to get after reminded them twice. The breakfast room needs heavy update. The staff is friendly but seem to handle people based on their clothing style. Asking to discuss tge matter with a manager...

The scenery is gorgeous and dinner was fantastic. However the bed was very uncomfortable and I woke up with a very sore back and neck is still painful, for $368 a night with no brekkie included, to get a sore neck was disappointing. Our room was at the very end with no view but probably due to us booking it...
