We actually made a stop just at the restaurant, where we were brought by our local driver/guide from Gallery Prawirotaman Hotel. I asked for a great place to eat between Borobudur & Prambanan temples and this was it. Excellent freshly prepared food where we sampled the local gudeg and freshwater fish in a tamarind based sauce. Rather out of the... More

Big and nice simple room, good cleanliness. Location bit far from city center but worthly paid when we arrived and enjoy the ambience, really represent of javanese architecture. Prefect place for people who love the natural atmosphere. Perfect escape from city's madness and very suitable for honeymooner and couple.

The pictures and online description do not reflect the real experience at this "boutique international" hotel. We needed to stay in the area to attend a conference and thought the EXPENSIVE price combined with the gorgeous photos was going to be perfect. We were sadly mistaken. The nice driver who picked us up from the airport was the only person... More

I spent one night. Fortunately it was still low-season. The place is full with Javanese furniture. The villa has traditional 'Joglo' style. Nowadays that kind of roof costs about usd20k. Unfortunately you will have to encounter 'tekek' as what the local say. It is a sort of mini particles falling from the roof (probably came from whatever insects living inside... More

Hotel situated in a quiet location. Hotel design is beautiful. There is natural river inside, the landscape is also very green & natural. Furniture of Java traditional can be very interesting for foreign tourist. But some attention should be taken by the management. Room un-cleanliness really degrade the 4 star become guesthouse (many bugs, washtafel leackage, thick dust in furnitures,... More

It has long been an ambition to visit Borobudur and I wanted to stay in a hotel that was full of character and charm. Being a lone traveller a boutique hotel is a good choice being small and usually has a good atmosphere. I booked in for four nights and was pleased it was in the Countryside. My mistake was... More

Other than the beautiful Javanese architecture, my experience here is not a pleasant one. They offer wedding package including buffet menu and it was not cheap. Gosh were we pleased that we had decided to stay here for a couple of nights from where we visited the Prambanan and the Borobodur. The property is absolutely gorgeous. “A few rooms are close to the main road which you may like to avoid if you are allergic to noise while sleeping. No room is the same though so only book the higher category rooms. One lower category room intended for the kids was so tiny that we promptly upgraded that one.”
