To celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I decided to venture out to Berlin, Ohio. While we've stayed at several other locations in the area, this was the first time we stayed at the Carlisle Inn. Off the "beaten path", this inn is a small six bedroom home that reminds me of a cross between a actual B&B and hotel.... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 11 April 2016

We visit Amish country every few years and have always stayed here. The rooms are homey and spacious. The views are great and the private balconies are so cute. The breakfast is perfect to start your day walking around to nearby stores. Everything about it is just as you would hope for an Amish country getaway. If you can, go... More

This property gets high marks for being country cute and reflecting the environment of Amish hospitality. Its clean and the employees I met were friendly and helpful. The same coumpany owns the large Amish restaurant and bakery. I rub came as I tried to sleep in the lumpy bed, It was a long night. The breakfast was better than average... More

We came here to cekebrate our 30th anniversary and rekax. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. The rooms are spacious and clean with a small refrigerator and tastefully decorated. The views out the back are beautiful.

Beautiful Christmas decorations and friendly staff. Snacks and breakfast right down the hall. Fitness center small but nice. Clean and well taken care of. View breathtaking. Conveniently located to several businesses.

We recently stayed at the Carlisle Inn, our "home away from home". Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean, as always, but the stains on the carpet, the toilet seat that desperately needs to be replaced, the worn out mattresses, and the shower issues show the apparent lack of upkeep.... Stayed here 2 nights while visiting the area. Staff went above and beyond in all respects!! Room was clean and comfortable. We had a front view and it was fine, although the back view rooms do have a slightly better view. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that the rooms are getting a little dated and could... The country side comes into your room as you relax and rest while staying here at the Carlisle Inn. What gorgeous view you have of the Amish countryside surrounding you. The beds for us were a little stiff (but that's our backs ;). Nicely prepared rooms with staff ready to answer any questions. Continental breakfast is not overwhelming, however, the... More

We enjoyed our stay here while visiting Amish Country. It is more modern than I expected, with elevators and beautiful decor. The room was clean and smelled nice. I loved the jetted bathtub and mineral bath packet. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety. The Der Dutchman restaurant is right next door.

If you want to see the best view in Holmes County check out Carlisle Inn. Ask for a room that overlooks the back--with a balcony. We've stayed here before, and just recently we stayed 3 nights. All that was left was a different room each day, but they were very accommodating and moved all of our luggage so it was... More
