Our statewide organization has used The Riverhouse in Bend for our conference for at least the last 4 years. We had wonderful rooms this year. I had a riverfront room with a king bed, a pull out sofa and an accessible bathroom for my 90...More
The new owners have done a nice job remodeling the rooms, lobby and restaurant to be very modern now. Very comfortable place to stay and you can't beat listening to the river outside your room while you sleep. I had a fireplace room so had...More
Nice location in Bend, OR right on the river. Totally remodeled! Very clean rooms. They have one swimming pool, and one restaurant/bar. If you are looking to walk to downtown Bend, this is not the place to stay. However, it is a short drive, 7-9...More
Finding a decent hotel property in Bend in the summer can be expensive undertaking. We booked a last minute trip and wound up here. It was literally half the price of some of the other places we looked. It's a little outside downtown and the...More

Hello, The Riverhouse has 35 rooms with fireplaces, all are located in the building they call Sagebrush which is located across the river from the restaurant and office.Rooms with fireplaces are available on both the front and back of the building, the back being the river side. A certain number of every room type have fireplaces in them. Unfortunately I am not able to tell you exact room numbers . One comment regarding the guest that commented about a smoke filled room. I don't know the detail of that incident, however, I can say that in a situation such as a room filling with smoke and a fire alarm sounding, the appropriate thing to do would be to evacuate the building, not open the doors and windows and sit there waiting for a staff member to show up. The staff would be looking at the bigger picture, meaning, the whole building rather then a single room, expecting that guests would follow the posted procedure for that event. It wouldn't have been appropriate for a staff member to enter into a building that was possibly on fire. Hope this helps.

From the Riverhouse to the Downtown area is only a few miles. Yes, they do have a city bus system, cabs are also available, not sure about Uber but there is a number of private shuttles that can be summond like a cab. Additionally, there are shuttle bus services that do dedicated runs to many of the attractions. Keep in mind, Bend doesn't have a typical downtown like many cities where down town is the heart of the city and every thing is there. But if you're looking for shopping, movie or ? there is a shopping mall right accross the highway and most retail business can be found along 3rd st which used to be the main highway 97 that takes you to redmond to the North or Sun River to the South and still does it's called 3rd st now because highway 97 thru traffic was re routed onto the bypass parkway. While there is other stuff off 3rd ave the Heart of Bend is really along hwy 97 AKA 3rd ave. Hope that helps.
