We have stayed at the R.R. Thompson House twice, which we enjoyed thoroughly. The furnishings are lush, our guest bedroom beautiful, and we both had a perfect night's sleep on lovely linens. Even with the window open and a house full of guests, it was very quiet. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, pure ingredients. The friendly hosts were very accommodating to...

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. The suites are indeed spacious and our location is quiet. We're happy to hear you were well pleased with our breakfasts. Our chef believes food should appeal to the eye as well as satisfy the appetite. Thank you for your wonderful review. We look forward to a return visit!

We stayed for one night in late August when wine touring. The town of Carlton is a very nice little town with several tasting rooms located downtown. As well, there are quite a few wineries short drives from here. We selected this B&B because of its location. From that perspective, it certainly fit the bill. Only a short walk to...

Our location in Carlton is indeed ideal for wine tasting, and we're glad you found it so. Our nightly rates start at $150, which is a very competitive rate for the area. Our spacious suites, which stretch from the front to the back of the house (with windows on three sides) are higher, starting at $225. Our rates can accommodate...

First, the good. This bed and breakfast has a great location, in walking distance to the short main street. Our room was one of the 2 really spacious ones, on the 2nd floor. The bathroom was clean and modern, though it had no place to hang anything, or shelves on which to place things. The hosts were friendly. Upon arrival...

Not sure what the source of the smell was but it was obvious immediately upon entering, keeping the window open and the fan running in my room allowed me to sleep. I enjoyed exploring Carlton and the surrounding area. Not sure if I would return or try another location. Breakfast was enjoyable both mornings I was there. The bed was...

We stayed here during the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon Weekend Aug 29-1 SEP 2014. I will tell you the positives and negatives, but I will tell you the main reason this B&B did not get the 5 stars, and that was due to the smell. Now please note- we did not mention this to the owners, I wanted the...

We stayed in the Lilac Room for 2 nights. Very comfortable. Mike and Rosalyn were more than helpful in giving us ideas and discount cards for wineries. As well as suggesting the Evergreen Aviation Museum and Curvee for dinner......we enjoyed so much. Thanks for a delightful time in Carlton.

We stayed at the R.R. Thompson House B&B while in Carlton for a progressive wine dinner at Cana's Feast Winery. The host greeted us promptly, entertaining us with some history behind the house. It was quite interesting and appreciated considering we knew little of the area. We stayed in the Rose Room, the original "master suite" of the house. The...

The 4 of us stayed 2 nights at the Thompson House B&B and we were treated like royalty! They checked out some wineries we requested before our stay; and served 5 star breakfasts! They learned it was our birthday and made a double decker homemade birthday cake!! Very nice touch. The rooms were more spacious than most B&Bs...especially the suites....

Stayed in the 3rd floor Magnolia room, which was a bit cozy, but there was plenty of room to store belongings and the bathroom was roomy. I have fussy eating preferences, which Mike and Roselyn were glad to accommodate. They made sure we started our day with a good breakfast and a plan. We had great adventures in wine country,...

When I walked through the front door I knew this was going to be a beautiful place to stay. Then when I saw how large the bedrooms were, how beautifully decorated the whole house was and how welcoming the hosts were, I knew I had made the right decision. Carlton is such a quaint and quiet town. I enjoyed my...
