We stayed at this motel on the first night of a 17-day road trip. Because we were coming from the Bay Area, we weren't sure when we'd arrive, or whether we'd make it that far, so we didn't book in advance. Even though I had the Trip Advisor app, we called to find out whether there were any rooms, and...

I got a little bit distracted on my way to Seattle and got surprised by the snow. I needed to stay one night in this lovely motel. The room was cozy, clean and the bed comfortable. The owners were really friendly, caring and made me feel safe, since I was travelling alone. The free breakfast was great and the coffee...

From its outward appearance, as we drove up to the Whispering Pines, I knew that we would never have set foot in the door had we not already made a reservation based on Trip Advisor reports and on a telephone call in which the owner said that they only have two pet rooms which, with hunting season beginning, may go...

Had a great stay at Whispering Pines. It's location is fantastic if you want to explore the crater lake area and the owner has tons of maps and resources for you that she really went the extra mile to get, so definitely check that out. I just took them for the night and took a bunch of pictures of all...

It might look a bit run down but Sheila keeps her motel clean and cozy. We stayed three instead of one night, just because we like it here. Best place to head of to Crater, Diamond and Crescent Lake. And it's not even expensive. No baby cradle though. The mini market is worth sight seeing.

There are three things going for the Whispering Pines Motel - location, price and the motel owner. There is nothing fancy about the room. We stayed in the "pet friendly" room which had two beds, a TV with five channels, a VCR, a microwave and a small fridge. The beds are firm but not hard. There is a fan for...

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Crater Lake. It is the closest motel to the North entrance to the park. While the motel is not much to look at on the outside, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Sheila is very friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant across the road which has a varied menu. I...

Since all nearby accommodations had no vacancies, this was the only motel left. It has only one plus: it is relatively near to Crater Lake. Whate seemed to be a great offer ($ 55 per night) turned out to be a nightmare. Since they forgot to write our name down in the register, we got an 'upgrade' to one of...

Sheila provided a clean spacious room with the most comfortable bed on our 10 day trip. She provided a coffee maker and blow dryer. Glad I stayed there, I almost didn't after reading Paxton's review. Yes, it is an old motel with stained carpet, but as a new owner, Sheila made her choice to make sure the bed, bedding and...

I stayed here for 2 nights because it is close to Crater Lake. Close in the sense that I could be at the Cleetwood Cove Trail in about 45 minutes even while observing the speed limits. It was also an opportunity to visit the past. It is a real old school motel which I found clean and comfortable with a...
