We stayed two nights in Cabin 35 of the Vintage Cabins. Our experience was less than desirable. Upon entering the cabin we found a pair of dirty underwear on the floor. The windows and sills were extremely covered in dust. The window frames were falling apart. The kitchen floor sloped down so the refrigerator door would swing open. Both bathrooms...

I originally wanted to stay at Crater Lake Lodge but they were booked so the reservation department suggested this resort. I failed to research it before hand and we were stuck in an old run down motel. The rooms are small and poorly maintained. The carpet was coming up and paint peeling off the walls. The mattress was old and...

My family has stayed in a number of rustic cabins and lodges around the northwest. The cabins at Diamond Lake Resort are not what I would call rustic -- they're just beat-up and rundown. We were in a lakefront cabin (a double-decker). The only saving grace was the amazing view of the lake just steps from our door. The setting...

We were looking for a mid week get away somewhere within a couple hours from home and we decided to stay at the Diamond Lake Resort Motel. I read some poor reviews on a couple of pages about the resort but they seemed to be all written by the same party. Last year we rode through there after visiting Crater...

We wanted to see Crater Lake and there was no other place to stay but at this place. We got one of the motel style rooms. It was not so dirty that a person would be afraid to touch anything, but it wasn't clean either. The room was very rundown. The airconditioner was so noisy we decided to get by...

I stayed here with a couple of friends for two nights and I would have rather slept outside. It should have been no more than $50-$60/night but we paid $100/night. It was dirty, had bugs, pretty sure our door didn't even lock, and the service sucked. Do yourself a favor and pay more staying at a better place.

Diamond Lake Resort is a great place to visit. The property and lake are well used but clean and relaxing. The lake and surrounding mountains create excellent views. The fishing is good and the lodge is just a short distance from Crater Lake making it a perfect stop to rest before spending a day circling the crater. Love this place.

Lovely views of Theilson and Baker. Resort with cafe and "pub" with food. Quality and number of choices of food good. Hotel room with new carpet, newly tiled bathroom and entry, new paneling top half of room. Bike path great.

Our room was in the motel portion of the resort, and we found it to be very basic, but adequate. We just needed a room to sleep while we saw Crater Lake, which was about 20 minutes to the rim. It had a comfortable bed, tv, and a coffee maker. The water was hotness the shower, and there was a...

You've got to change your expectations when you stay here--it's not the Ritz but it's perfectly livable when you want to see Crater Lake Nat'l Park. We had end-unit, S-18, 2 twin beds with a kitchen and lake view and were happy with it. We brought our own food and cooked with friends. Pots and pans were in great shape....
