The RV park is a large meadow area with horses on one side and a public playground on the other. The park and motel are squeaky clean, the manager is very nice, helpful, checked to see if we had everything we needed. It was a great place to stay and explore the town (quaint, Central Oregon ethos) and the Clarno...

First let me say, If a park has power, water and swear, it gets a 3 point rating. I have only given one 5 point rating and that was about two hours drive from this RV park in Dayville, Orgeon at a place called the Fish House RV Park. Now, for this review; this is located in a small very...

The fellow who checked us in that night, let's put it this way was a bit creepy, half dressed, bare footed, and a odd smell was in the air. If I'd been by myself I would have turned around and parked on the street. But we needed the power hook up, not sure if we will be back. When hubby went...

Lovely little motel, ideal for visiting the Clarno unit of the John Day Fossil Beds. The Motel is clean and tidy, ours had a very comfortable Ikea 'Poang' style chair. The grounds are open and spacious. Great Wifi connection. Excellent value. I'd stay here again.

Took a quick road trip and spent two nights at this little motel/RV Park. Wonderful proprietor who is very accommodating and helpful. The motel only has 7 units and are all in the process of being renovated, which is a plus since they are old and dated, BUT adequate. They are the only game in town, but I would return....

This place was quite unexpected. Nestled in the middle of nowhere Oregon, we chose this place last minute before heading out on a camping adventure to John Day. We called the owner and explained that we would be leaving Portland after work on Wednesday and she waited up for us to arrive that night close to 10pm. She was extremely...

The Fossil Motel and RV Park was an absolute delight. Our family just traveled to Fossil to explore the John Day River Territory and were so pleased to find this motel. Owner Anne was so friendly and hospitable, and was very welcoming to our dogs. She had lots of information and suggestions on what to see in the area. And...

Owner Anne, kind and considerate. It's a very quaint flash back to the 1950's. I imagined weary travelers staying in my room 60 years ago! They are cleaning and painting all rooms. Television, microwave, shower, little fridge. Enough of a respite to get me out of the heat and recover. Although, no air conditioners. Delightfully quiet for me that night....

Old concrete block buildings with peeling linoleum flooring and moldy odor. We had a kitchenette which was nice, but overall this place needs a tremendous amount of work. There were deer across the street on the hillside in the morning - a definite plus.

My car broke down in the small town of Fossil and I could not have been more fortunate. The motel (fully remodled and under new owership) was great. The owner, Anne is wonderful, and the town was so welcoming. Anyone who is looking for anything more than what the Fossil Motel has to offer should not be out in the...
