This is about 17 miles from Fossil on a curvy road going through a canyon. Don't know why this is listed as a B & B since you have to buy your breakfast at the cafe on site. I stayed one night in the Sunflower Room at the back of the 2nd story. The bathroom is private but across the...

Went over for a fishing/rafting trip. Spoke with the owner before had and told that from Service creek to twickenham would be a 6 hour float. It took us 10 with 6 hours of straight rowing. Water was at 500cfs. Got back to the room, it was at least clean. Beds are horrible, floor squeak so bad the people below...

Old rooms in an old stage stop. "Quaint" redecoration some years ago, now a bit long in the tooth Limited amenities. Bathroom is across the hall. Very solid bed, which I liked. Housekeeping is not exactly fastidious, but adequate. Old window air conditioner, noisy. No in-room fridge or microwave. All rooms share the kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, range and dishwasher. Also...

Highest recommendations for everything about Service Creek Lodge. I was lost in the mountains, heading to Seattle, darkness was soon to fall and I was desperate for a rest. I pulled over and found this gem. The cook/server was an angel in disguise, she told me about Wheeler County, cooked up a filling and delicious fried chicken dinner and told...

After renting the whole place and paying nearly $1000 for our group to stay the weekend, my wife and I decided to stay on one more night. Our group enjoyed the stay, in particular the ability to cook in the commons area kitchen. The owners' policy is that you have to rent the whole place to use the kitchen. So...

The place appears suddenly out of nowhere. River nearby. Absolutely charming. Right out of a movie. Clean rooms. Kitchen and dining areas common. Stopped here to visit the painted hills. Dinner was good. Strong internet signal in the dining area.

I booked the Thomas Condon room on-line for a business trip, as the Lodge at Service Creek advertised wifi and the motel in Fossil did not. Given how remote Service Creek is, I truly was not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised to arrive to a nice sized, clean room. There were two other couples staying in the house while...

We made a reservation solely from the website where the pictures showed bright clean rooms. We arrived about 6:30pm to an empty dark house. When we checked in we were told that we would be the only ones in the house that night. The Rim rock room was dark, dingy, bugs in the overhead light and the smoke detector was...

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the lodge several years ago when looking for a place to stay close to my daughter's summer camp. If you've done any searches in the area, you'll understand that lodging is very limited in this region. Our first stay was pleasant. We rented one of the rooms, as it was just the two of...

Found this place on a bike trip 4 years ago. Simple little road side cafe and basic general store. Had the best Corn Beef on Rye sandwich, with a large pickle and great pie. 2 years later we hit it again and I was almost salivating thinking about that sandwich again. Owners even remembered us when we came in! Now,...
