When we first got there about 6:00 pm, we had a note waiting for us welcoming us at the front door entry. We noticed the kurig coffee was available so I did not hesitate and headed to our "Homestead" room. We had the most romantic room, very large for 2 but it had a fireplace and being from Hawaii, it...

My five year old and I visited Wilson Ranches Retreat for a family vacation. The hosts were amazing, they were patient and capable with my five year old while taking her on trail rides. The surrounding scenery was gorgeous and breathtaking- Kara and Brian had extensive knowledge of the area. We couldn't have asked for more as far as breakfast...

My sister and I stayed here for 3 days in September. It was my sister's 50th birthday and she wanted to relive our memories of growing up on a ranch. Kara made that happen for us! We rode fence with the hired hand, Brett and checked cattle and water. It felt just like being with our dad except that Brett...

An absolute delightful experience. Our hosts for the two night stay, Kara and Brian, so caring and attentive. Their historic ranch house is both quaint and modernized. Free WiFi, comfortable queen bed, fluffy towels, a separate cook House with barbecue, and horseback rides. The basement rooms have their own bathroom, and are daylighted. Great for a family with kids. Breakfast...

Our stay at Wilson Ranches and Retreat was a great experience. Phil, Nancy, Kara and her husband were really welcoming, charming and funny. Our 2yo son loved the place, the horses, the cows. It was so quiet and beautiful. Kara and Nancy were also really helpful to plan our visit in the region. I would highly recommend their accomodation to...

Our family (son Todd and daughters Miya and Elsa, and son Brent and DIL Loni) spent time here just "hanging out". It was wonderful!!! We rode horses, hiked, traveled to the fossil beds in Fossil, Clarno, and John Day areas and saw lots of wild life. We really enjoyed the ranch breakfasts - Brian is an excellent cook!!! Our rooms...

We stayed 2 nights in the Buckhorn room. This is a lovely property and a working ranch, which we had the pleasure of exploring on horseback - a memorable "round-up" experience, lil' dogies and all! Nancy and Phil are wonderful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed invigorating conversations with them and other guests around the breakfast table both mornings. Good food, comfy...

If you're looking to get a real taste of Eastern and Central Oregon ranching country, Wilson Ranches is the real deal. I stayed there in January, and only for one night, but I'll be back. Real nice folks, and frankly, one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. No kidding! Genuine and honest people running a nice...
