I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Wilson Ranches Retreat. Nancy & Phil could not have been more welcoming or informative. The breakfasts were completely amazing, including the absolute best biscuts in the universe. Even though there is not much going on in Fossil itself, the beauty of the surrounding area more than makes up for it. I experienced ocular-overload: it...

Yes, we are from Germany and yes, we still love to experience the "real America", not the one full of blank looking tourists. We lived a few years in Texas and learned a lot about American people during everyday life. We still have American friends, who we visit on a regular basis. Every time we are in the U.S., we...

If you want to get up close and personal with cows and horses and really understand what ranch life in Oregon is like, this is the place. When we were there, the cows were calving in the barn near the guest house. Incredibly welcoming owners Phil and Nancy not only do the cooking, they sit down and have breakfast with...

This is a followup to my "Global Top 10" review of May 5, 2011, based on a bunch of return visits. Sometimes you go somewhere, love it the first couple times, then return and think, "Hmm, not so much." I'm writing to say the opposite -- this place is every bit as great as it was when we first found...

My husband and I have been going here for years. Nancy and Phil are great, and breakfasts, both food and conversation, are a good start for the day. Each year there are interesting people from all over the States and sometimes the world. One visit I studied my Italian with a woman from England who was also studying Italian. The...

I've been visiting the Ranch since it opened and I would advise everyone on the planet to do so at least once!! It will only take once to get you hooked on the power and beauty of this place. Its simply magic! The Wilsons are honest, warm, funny, and hard working folks who provide you with outstanding service and food,...

There aren't many locations in Oregon where guests may ride horseback and this is the best of them. The inn is very excellent, super clean (Karen the housekeeper does a great! job), breakfast is large and excellent, and it is peaceful spot to visit. Fossil is certainly off the beaten track but there are many diversions in the area. There...

What can I say that hasn't already been said. If you are visiting the Fossil area there is no better place to stay. Take some food with you to cook on the BBQs provided because you won't want ot go out to eat at night. Whether you want to use the WRR as a base for touring the area or...

Heard about this B & B from my wife's coworker. He had not been here but it looked good so we tried it. Glad we did. The house is a nice quiet place to stay, the breakfast is awesome, Nancy cooked the first one and Karen the second , both were great with a personal touch to each. You eat...

This was the most down-to-earth, personalized and accommodating B&B stay that we have ever experienced. We ended up arriving extremely late due to snow in the passes but the Wilson's were more than happy to welcome us when we arrived after 11pm with a friendly 'howdy' and a roaring fire in our room. We enjoyed exploring the ranch and listening...
