Dreamers Lodge is clean, comfortable and less expensive than the local options. It has air conditioning for the summer months, and the owner is a fabulous gentleman. Try asking him about his old Royal Enfield motorcycle. Close to everything in town, I'd stay here again.

We were starting our 5 day bike trip and we normally like the Best Western, however, they were way overpriced and we have stayed here before. It's a basic hotel, but the rooms are clean. It's walking distance to the Outpost Pizza place which makes it very nice as well. The folks at Dreamers lodge are very nice and accomodating....

I was making my way down to Utah when I realized John Day was my best option for a half way point. I looked at pricing, Best Western was charging $170ish, so I came to the Dreamers Lodge and was very pleased. My room was about $80ish (Great Price for Summer!), and our stay was very pleasant. The room was...

We were looking for a quick over night stay while exploring the Painted Hills that didn't break the bank. This hotel fit that bill. The room was a very nice size with 2 comfortable recliners and decent beds. The rooms are in need of updating but still comfortable. Not immaculate but it was clean. Decent value here.

Well maintained, blast from the past motor lodge. Not the nicest and the newest, but was comfortable, affordable, had a fridge and microwave and was clean. The staff was very accomodating and helpful about the area. We would chose this motel again if we are in the area.

We stayed here four nights for a family event. The rooms are comfortable, but could use some updating; new bedspreads, better towels etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms have a microwave, small refrigerator, hair dryer and iron and ironing board. Some also have a mini kitchen. One thing that needs to be changed is the bar...

If you look at the outside, it screams 50's or 60's. We had a room with an advertized "Queen" bed. It was really a full but was just fine. The room had a small fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron and board. (2) cushy lounge chairs, nice size TV, AC(which was very loud but tolerable with the fan only) and Wi-Fi(...

Our family spent four nights at Dreamer's Lodge while exploring the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. It was a 45 minute drive to the Monument, but closer lodging options would not work for our family of four plus our big dog. We found Dreamer's Lodge a comfortable and welcoming home base to return to each night after a long...

I had a hard time getting to sleep as the mattress smelled of cigarette smoke. And this was a non-smoking room. They must've allowed smoking for a long time before the switch. I think the room was worth $25. But I paid 50 for it.

I have stayed at many higher end places, but it's always nice to come across a sweet ol' motor lodge that is well maintained and still carries a reasonable price. The cost is very reasonable and the location is perfect for those that want to walk to dinner or just cruise town. They are very helpful and nice and don't...
