We got here about 6 last night and the front desk girl said they only had 1 room with 2 beds available which was the pet room. We took it because there were no other hotels with vacancies. Got in the room and it smelled bad. Had to put a car freshener in the AC and keep the windows and...

Room 201, Had 2 very comfortable queen beds in small clean room. Older very basic building. In center of town on Main Street on a hill. Trucks start about 7AM and have to go up the hill but slow speed. Air conditioner is quiet and steady sound but controls are very hard to see as blocked by bed. Small TV....

It's an old motel, but clean. The location is convenient for restaurants. The WIFI worked well as did all of the appliances in the room. The staff was friendly and very accommodating (bringing extra towels and pillows). The price was also very reasonable.

The carpet was dreadful and stained, the curtains were falling off the curtain rod (I had to get up on a chair and fix them) and the room was dark and cramped. The service at check in was indifferent at best. On the upside, the location is good and the towels were clean.

The new management is doing an excellent job of updating of the rooms. A young lady seems to be doing everything from the front desk to the maid service. Our room had a new bed...very comfortable, new linens and had been freshly painted. It was also failrly large with fridge, internet and microwave. It is set off the high way...

Little Pine is located just off the main street of town. you can walk to a coffee/tanning saloon, and several restaurants. I like it. its nestled away so its quite. but close enough to down town to walk for a night on the town (no cab ride back needed) and to walk back in the morning for breakfast.

I was stranded in John Day and there were no vacancies to be found at 11pm. Stayed at Little Pine Inn, thinking "it cannot be all that bad"! WRONG! Dirty dirty dirty! I should have slept in my truck! The carpet, bedding, bathroom and curtains were all dirty. I can handle outdated, but not smelly. Tv, fixtures, carpet, bed, bedding,...

The rooms are not bad was clean. Have updated some of the rooms are are trying hard to get others the others done. The young lady that takes care of the place does everything herself including the maid service. She works very hard and does a great job.

Pros: cheap, microwave, fridge, WiFi. Cons: cigarette smoke seeps in, towels are dingy, stuff is broken & the welcome letter that talks about the rules and check out time advises patrons not to attempt to repair broken items, walls between units are exceptionally thin leaving nothing to the imagination, ID is not necessary to rent a room.

Let's start with the positives - it was only $50, the television gets Cinemax and the shower has good pressure. Staff was friendly enough, as were the other guests. The negatives? It was dirty and this is coming from a guy who has stayed in some skeevy places. The bathroom floor was the worst I've ever seen, with caked-on filth...
