The fairgrounds RV park is graveled. The restrooms are adequately cleaned. We were glad to get full hookups. The park was quiet. In the evening the mosquitoes were quite bad. The local people who ran the RV park for the fair were courteous and helpful.

As far as RV parks go, this place is pretty god. We have stayed here dozens of times in both summer & winter, rates run $30-$34 per night. Full hook ups, drive thru and back in sites, lots of trees and right next to the...More

Nice park. Nice people (Andy). Internet works well. Good price. Much better than I expected at a fairgrounds RV park. Rest rooms were clean. Easy walk into town. We didn't try any local restaurants. We would stay again.

There's plenty of space to camp along the John Day River. We were camped here while on a motorcycle trip. It's $15 a night. The restrooms are clean but a bit of a walk from our tent site. The fairgrounds is close to town. The...More

Clyde Holliday was full & we wanted to nose around John Day for a while-this site was just fine. Quiet & well kept up with all hookups. I'm sure it would be different if the fairgrounds were busy, but on this mid May week night...More

I believe everything in central Oregon is booked and has been for months. They are expecting hundreds of thousands of people. As people rent out yards, fields and other spaces, sites are going for over $300 a night.

We were just traveling through John Day, but the manager said they'd been booked for 2 years. Every square inch in the path is, and it's best not to be stuck in traffic looking for a spot. We've decided to just stay home in... More
