The Spindrift at first glance looks like an old motel that no one has even thought about modernizing, and if you want upscale amenities it's definitely not the place for you, but for a laid-back beach weekend it's ideal. The room was large, comfortable and clean, with a little kitchen area and free wifi. And it's extremely reasonable in price,...

Me and my wife stayed here for two nights and it was just great. The front desk staff was always helpful (even when we decided to add an extra night to our stay last minute). The location is perfect, right on the main street of Manzanita, just a block from the beach. This was a perfect stop for us during...

We were doing a two week road trip up the Oregon Coast to BC and back and just needed a rest stop. Spindrift was very inexpensive which alowed us to stay in more upscale places in cities. It was very clean, the beds and shower were fine, and they offer a nice array of DVDs free. We were in Manzanita...

The room was on the main road, an easy walk to the water and all the shops. The room was very small, with only enough room for one person to be moving around the room at once. There were stains on the comforter and chair. There was a large TV with DVD player and they have a supply of DVD's...

Spindrift was just what we needed for a little weekend get-away. Wonderful location, super close to a lovely beach, restaurants, great shopping... super nice staff, the bed's super comfy. I was a little daunted when we pulled up, because the building is motel-style and seemed a little janky, but as we settled in every little detail just added to the...

We spent a weekend here in May and have nothing to complain about. Although this is a motel-style establishment, the room is one of the nicest for this quality of accommodation that we have ever enjoyed, Rooms are clean, have comfortable beds, a microwave and refrigerator and a flat-screen TV. They aren't fancy but they are quite comfortable. The location...

We went here for Cinco de Mayo and the guy behind the counter was very nice. Anything we needed, he was willing to get. Our room had a beach theme and I appreciate the little details that went into making the room feel different than a stuffy hotel. The beds are very firm (at least in #2 it is) and...

This little motel-style accommodation is perfect for a quick and inexpensive getaway to the Oregon coast. Not fancy, but incredibly clean and one block from the most beautiful beach on the Oregon coast. Very conveniently located just south of Cannon Beach and north of Tillamook. Tons to do in the area, for families, individuals, or couples. Extra thanks for turning...

We had rented a private home in Manzanita but found it didn't meet our cleanliness standards, so called the Spindrift--they had a room with a kitchenette so we booked it for 2 nights. It was so cute, so quiet, and so very clean. It had a bedroom with a Q bed that was very comfy and a big comfy couch...

The Spindrift from the outside looks a little rundown, but don't let that influence your decision in staying here! The owners are very friendly and recommended places to eat (and not to eat). They answered all my questions and were willing to help in any way they could. The rooms were a little outdated but very clean and functional. We had...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lovely, quaint, great rooms, inexpensive, a great location, and the people are friendly ... that’s how our guests describe Spindrift Inn. This cozy 14 room cottage-style rural inn is just a block from a 7 mile beach in Manzanita, on Oregon’s gorgeous North Coast. Mountains meet the sea, surrounded by two State Parks, forests and the Pacific Ocean. In our inn you will find no smoking, pillowtop beds, some suites, some kitchenettes, and some pet-friendly rooms (call ahead to be sure). Off the highway, Manzanita’s small commercial district is nestled among cabins and cottages - perfect to park and walkabout. There are shops with trendy clothing, natural food, and several restaurants serving fish en papillote to authentic Mexican. And the connection with Nature is superb ... you can re-fresh, rejuvenate and be re-inspired when you return home. Or stay forever (we did). Come visit us ... then you may say: "Spindrift Inn might not have a lot of street appeal, but thankfully the rooms, cleanliness, staff, location and price were all wonderful. We’ll definitely be back again." Owned and operated by local families since 1946. ... more   less
