Established in 1946. The building started out as a Officers Barracks at Camp Rilea in Warrenton. It was brought to Manzanita sometime in the 1940s. It has changed ownership a handful of times and is now owned by Brian Hines who until his long awaited retirement in March of 2017 was the Brit who greeted every guest for their stay since he bought the Motel in 2001. The Motel has been undergoing a slow but steady facelift inside and out for the last few years. A few of the negative comments in the reviews were addressed even before they were seen. We try to keep up with Brian's unique style of customer service and make progress on much needed updates and hope the experience will continue to bring our many repeat guests back for years to come

We made a last minute trip to the coast and needed a place to crash for one night. This place was clean, quiet and perfectly located close to the beach and to shops and restaurants. Plenty of soft towels and hot water, and a nicely updated color scheme. Liked the flooring

So here's the scoop - On only a few day's notice, Travel Partner, 2 small dogs, and me were convinced we wanted to go to Manzanita for a Saturday and Sunday night (I LOVE Manzanita), but things were booked solid - except for one 2 twin room at the Sand Dune Inn. Travel Partner

It has been a while now since new management, so no excuses. On arrival in room 2B on June 18 I noticed the long-stained carpet, debris and hair at base of tub, I removed a long black hair on pillow and curled up black hair on floor of bathroom. My hair is brown and graying,

The Inn is very basic. Our room had vinyl flooring no carpets and no rugs. The Inn welcomes dogs so that perhaps explains the lack of floor coverings. There was one easy chair in the room and no upright chair at the desk/dressing table. A noisy fridge with microwave on top
