I probably should have declined my room the minute I saw the earplugs they provide in the room (I've stayed at a LOT of hotels and first time I've seen a hotel do that) I'm writing this a 3:30am after the bars closed down but the sound of running water in my room (303) is loud enough to keep me...

Phil- I am sorry that you did not have a restful nights sleep. We are in the heart of a small downtown area with lots of restaurants and bars near by. We also are in an historical building that has thin walls. We are glad that you enjoyed our restaurant and bars enough to come back for a cocktail and...

This is one of a handful of McMenamins's historic properties that was originally built as a hotel. In this case, construction occurred in 1905. Our room was small by modern standard but perfectly adequate. There is no TV, microwave or refrigerator, but those modern features would be out of place. In this old building noise travels, so don't expect complete...

We stayed at McMenamins Hotel Oregon for 2 nights in early November. This was our home base for a Willamette Valley wine tasting weekend. The location was perfect. It is within walking distance of a variety of shops and restaurants as well as convenient driving distance to many fabulous wineries. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Check in and check...

The best thing about McMenamins is that it is remarkably consistent from property to property. Good tastes expected, drinks are the usual, and it is a bit weirdy hipsterish comme toujours. Servers can occasionally be a bit pretentious, but in general, it is a solid wysiwyg place.

The hotel features a nice restaurant, a comfortable lobby area and bars on the rooftop, groundfloor and basement. The rooms mostly are 'European style' -- that is, with shared bathrooms. We got one of the rooms with a private bath. The queen bed was comfy, but left no room for a little table or chairs. There was only one night...

I have to say Mcminamins hotels are an addiction of mine. If you love history, art, live music, local food and spirits, you will 💕💕💕💕them too! I just stayed here for my birthday along with my siblings. We had so much fun hitting the antique stores and listening to our favorite Mark Alan play in the cellar bar. What a...

Our stay at the Hotel Oregon was really nice. Since we were only staying for one night in wine country, we decided to save some money and book a room without a private bathroom. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a sink for freshening up. Neither of us found the shared bathroom option inconvenient, though if we had...

I only stayed one night, but would happily stay longer. This beautiful old building has a unique decoration theme. The location is perfect. Located downtown there are several good restaurants and bars in walking distance. The area is surrounded by dozens of great wineries. As this is an old building, all of the rooms are different. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On McMinnville's charming, old main street, Hotel Oregon strikes an inviting pose - as it has since 1905. Once home to a restaurant and lounge, banquet hall, Greyhound bus depot, Western Union, soda fountain and beauty parlor, the handsome four-story building we call Hotel Oregon is a delightful destination in the heart of Oregon's wine country.Warm lighting in the first floor pub, cozy tables and an impressive 40-foot long back bar invite close conversation over the glint of a fresh pint or maybe a game of shuffle board in the Paragon room. Artwork and wall hangings inspire thoughts of the past and a trip to the subterranean bistro-style Cellar Bar or magnificent Rooftop Bar (with its breathtaking 360-degree view of the region) are a must for any visitor to the hotel. ... more   less
