Generous, warm-hearted, thoughtful, accommodating owners, quiet and clean repose. In excellent proximity to the Painted Hills. Sweet cafes in town and lots of lovely people to provide direction, insights and helpfulness. Like going home to sister's place.

I stayed here in July, 2010. So why am I reviewing this hotel 6 years later? Because I remember my stay in this quaint, slightly crazy place much, much better than I remember the other cookie-cutter places I stayed on during that cross-country trip. As others have noted, Mitchell is a small, dying town so be sure you bring snacks...

Had one of my best friend birthday here. Cool rooms in the thick of everything. Many great restaurants nearby and much to do. We had the actual party at a winery, but stayed here all weekend. Really great, casual place.

We stayed on Nov 9, 2016. Arrived at night and it wasn't very well lite outside but was clean on the inside and we had a room with 2 beds and a bathroom across the hall. The room also has a sink. The rooms and hotel have a rustic feel to it. You can have a muffin and coffee/hot chocolate...

This hotel is ~20 minutes from the Painted Hills entrance. The town is very small with only two restaurants that close by 7pm so plan accordingly. The hotel had the feel of a large house; specify if you want your own bathroom, which may only have a tub (no shower) as that was the case in my room. Front desk...

This is a great location for the painted hills. The history is interesting. However be advised you can hear EVERYTHING. We had a room downstairs and we could hear people talking in the lobby, the people above us talking, snoring, walking around. So I highly suggest asking to stay upstairs when booking a reservation if you need a good night's...

Very nice location ... close to the Painted Hills National Monument. The hotel is a historic Oregon hotel in a small town - some rooms have private bath/some not. The owners seem very nice. Our room was modest sized - clean and functional ... came with an Claw Foot bathtub. However, both double beds in our room could use new...

Very close to the Painted Hills (but we actually preferred the Sheep Rock Unit with the Blue Basin hike about 45 minutes east) in a quaint small town. We did an awesome ghost town tour on the way to the Oregon Hotel. You get a room in a house basically. No real amenities, but if you know that going in...

This is an historic older hotel, and so don't expect luxury, or floors that don't squeak. We love this kind of place, with character and history. Things were clean, but the rooms are not fancy or plush. Stayed in one of the rooms with the bathroom down the hall, it was a good value. Breakfast was choice of Costco muffins...

It's kind of sweet, kind of just ok. The best part is that it's close to the Painted Hills. And they do have wifi. The place is pretty rustic. Bathrooms are outdated but functional. Our room was done a la John Wayne. The front porch was pleasant to hang out on. There are muffins (from Costco) and coffee in the...
