The hotel and staff were amazing. Nothing fancy but perfect location to walk down to shore for a beach bonfire and smores. Amazing ocean views with patio and sliding door. Nice staff and the most relaxing hotel on my week long trip.

This place has fantastic views, and a great location just off the 101. However, the rooms are dirty and in need of remodeling. Pet friendly rooms WITH carpet! Yuck. I walked around in my socks for a few minutes, and they were black underneath.

We stayed at the Whaler Inn for only one night. It was older, but very clean and comfortable. We asked for a early check-in and was given it. I would very much stay there again. The view of the ocean is great and beach access is close by. It was nice to have a patio on our ground floor room.

we always stop here on our annual trek south. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and the views are stunning. Beds are comfortable. They are pet friendly. The price is very reasonable for such a great location within walking distance of a great bakery/coffee and the always good Georgie's Restaurant. Steps from the beach

November is a quiet time to visit. The Whaler is conveniently located by the ocean and the historical district. It's a Monday evening not many guests which makes it peaceful for us. The fireplace makes the room cozy and the bed comfy.

We stayed for two nights in the small cottages. While they are older the are cozy with wood burning fireplaces full kitchen laundry. Units one or two bathrooms and two or 3 bedrooms ideal for families. Beautiful views beach across the street Nye beach district a block away and highway one maybe 4 blocks. Not fancy but charming and lovely...

What a great value! Old school motel with everything you need. Really loved the high pressure shower head too! I mean really really loved that!! Bed on the soft side, pillows lower quality, sheets a little scratchy but the views and balcony and the nonstop sound of the crashing ocean waves made up for the minor imperfections BIG time. I...

Immaculate room overlooking the Pacific, with a view of Yaquina lighthouse in the distance. Staff couldn't have been nicer. This hotel definitely exceeded our expectations in all regards. I don't think you could do better in Newport at any price.

We were visiting Newport on our Pacific Northwest road trip. We are so happy we chose to stay here. It was a rainy evening and we were very tired. The folks at the desk were very accommodating and we were able to upgrade to a higher floor ($10 more but totally worth it). The room was large and clean. The...
